Boys really likes it
The boys really liked the idea of a true "battle". The chess set was getting old and this gave the idea a new life.

Awsome game!
I am 9 years old and play this game at school. This is the only game I play there. All my friends recommend this game. I promise right when you start playing, you won't want to stop. I recommend that you buy this game.

best strategy game ever!!!
Stratego is awesome! I think it will be around for a very long time. The object is to capture your opponent's flag or kill all of your opponent's people. The hard plastic pieces are very durable, but the stickers on them aren't. This game teaches strategy and careful thinking. Stratego requires more strategy then chess, risk, etc. It requires good memory and planning also . Games can last from only a few minutes to about half an hour.
I truly think Stratego is the best strategy game ever.

This is the game that taught me about military ranks!
My brother got this game for Christmas way back in the 1960's, when we were all pre-teens. I remember playing it many, many times, and developing different strategies along the way. Before playing this game, I didn't know a colonel outranked a major, who outranks a captain, who outranks a lieutenant, etc. etc. etc. But I learned fast while playing this!

Basically, it's not a serious wargame, but that doesn't make it any less fun. You fight to protect your own flag while destroying the enemy's. One of the other reviewers noted that in this day of high-tech computer games Stratego may be seen as having lost a bit of its luster, and that may be true, but it's still an enjoyable playing experience, worth checking out!

Stratego
Stratego is the single greatest boardgame out there. I personally have never stopped liking it since i was 6. It is a game of strategy and out-witting your opponent. You have soldiers from 9 up to 1, a spy, bombs and your flag. your objective is to capture your opponents flag. You can also win by having the last moving soldier on the field even if you can't get to the flag. I would recommend this game to everyone.
