Poor construction
My 3 year old got this for Christmas and every time we play, we have to unstick the necks, reattach the hippos, or unjam the marbles. She gets very frustrated and wants me to fix it. How can I fix a shoddy design? I'm very disappointed in this product.

Fun, but won't last
I bought this game for my five-year-old for Christmas because I enjoyed it as a child and because they were out of Moon Sand! The game comes in pieces -- the square base, the four hippo bodies and four hippo heads. When you put it together, it doesn't fit in the box. The instructions suggest taking the hippos off for storage. They have a picture of how to arrange it, but it doesn't fit in the box that way. You can tell on the picture the pieces are hanging over the edge. So you have to take at least one hippo head off to make it all fit. Putting it together isn't too much trouble but the pieces are evetually going to wear out and not snap together. I don't expect this toy to make it until next Christmas unless we find a place to store it out of the box.

The game is really fun, parents will even enjoy playing it with the kids. Just don't expect it last forever.

Hungry Hippos is a hit with my 5 and 7 year old girls
I love the old games we used to play and especially the ones that are not electronic. My girls really like to play hungry hungry hippos as they are very competitive. Lot's of fun for the family.

Durable? Probably not. Fun? Yes!
Many reviewers complain that it's not as durable as it was when we were kids. It's probably not. But, my five-year-old screams with delight everytime we play. Hearing him laugh like that may be worth plopping down another $[...] if it ever breaks.

Hungry Hungry Hippos fun for a little while!
My 4 year old had fun with this toy only for a while. My biggest complaint was that the game comes apart, which is good for storage, but bad when the child gets a hold of it and parts are everywhere.
