A first birthday present
I purchased this toy for my son's first birthday. He is a bit too young to ride on it yet, but he enjoys playing with all of the other bells and whistles. He also enjoys putting things in the seat compartment and then finding them again! As a walking toy, it seems very fast, although he is not walking yet and we have mostly hardwood floors. I would recommend this toy; Chicco seems to make a very solid product. An added bonus, his nearly 5 year old brother LOVES it too, so they play with it together.

Fun without blinking lights or obnoxious beeping
Our daughter, who is just under a year old, loves to open and close the seat. She hides toys in the train all the time - What Fun! She also enjoys spinning the knobs and push/pulling the levers all the time. It's a little to big for her to ride without assistance, but she does love to be driven around on the train. She has tried walking behind the train a couple of times, but it's so light-weight that it gets away from her and she's in a near-fall the entire time.

If you're looking for a fun toy that will be interesting for more than 20 minutes, I'd recommend this train. If you want a child-proof toy that is safe for a non-walker to pull up on on and push around, you might keep this in the closet for a couple of months - but what fun is that ;)

The best thing about this train is that it does not require batteries and it doesn't beep, blink, wiggle, or bounce to grab your attention. It's ready to be played with when your child wants to use it... it doesn't try to draw them in and distract them from the other fun things they're already doing.

Best out there!
We bought this for our 11 month old son at Christmas. It is by far the best thing we have bought him. He absolutely LOVES it! I think it is the smiplicity of it. It doesn't have any sirens or flashing lights or anything, but he loves the colors and the simple noises he can make with the accessories it has. He he too young to be able to use him himself, so we push him around the house in it, and he goes crazy! Keeps saying "yeaaah", "yeaaah"!, all the around! It is so great to see him enjoying it so much. If I put it away, he climbs over the rest of his toys to get to it and tries to pull it out, so I know then he wants to go for a spin on his train!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to purchase a ride-on toy, a nice simple toy, not expensive but they will get hours of enjoyment out of it!

A train for all little ones
This was a present for our one year old grandson. However, our 3 year old granddaughter loves it two. They ride it together sometimes. Most little ones love trains. It is a great toy!

Brilliant gift
I bought my nephew this as a birthday gift. He loves it and packs up toys in the back of it. He doesn't really like to sit on it but drags and pushes it all over the house. He loves the noises it makes. Not really for older children
