Each player throws the lettered dice trying to form word after word until their time is up. Perquackey comes with 13 dice, a dice cup and a sand timer. User Submitted Perquackey Game ReviewsDate: 2009-01-06 Great educational game. My whole family has enjoyed this game. It's fairly quick and fun. You form words with the letters you shake on the dice. Even my 6 year old can play with her limited ability to form words. I recommend it for anyone that likes word games. Date: 2008-12-24 Superb! I've been playing Perquackey since I was a young child, and the letters were rubbing off of my old dice. I decided to purchase another Perquackey game (thank goodness they've re-released it!) and am more than pleased. The instructions are not as aesthetically pleasing (no longer a booklet, but a printed sheet of paper), but everything else is the same. My only small complaint would be that the metal tin the game is in is much larger than it needs to be. I plan on covering the inside with felt so that it doesn't make as much noise when I'm transporting it. This game is great for anyone who wants to improve their vocabulary, or already has a good one--if you can see patterns in words, you'll do amazing. It's kind of like Boggle, but with loose dice and each person takes a separate turn. I'd suggest having a dictionary close by for the hardcore players (such as myself) in order to dispel word disputes on the spot. Buy it and you'll love it. Date: 2008-12-16 Best Word Game Ever This game is fast paced. It hones skills in word finding and construction. It was the game that got my family through the "Blizzard of '78". I now play it with my children. It has improved their spelling skills and reading. I recommend it to families of children at least 7 years and up. Great game for crossword enthusiasts and Scrabble players. Nice change from online game playing of the same. Date: 2008-12-12 Perquackey Game Lots of fun, good for a group of 4 or can be played alone. Good for spelling and math skills. I would not use the 3 minute timer because usually we are done with a turn before the time is up. You can vary the scoring to speed up the game. Like the red letters are 50 points and the black are 25 points. with a total of 400 points for using all the letters. Date: 2008-10-28 senior gamer I agree with all the great reviews that Perquackey is a fun and educational game. In fact, I belong to a group of four senior gals who get together and play a couple of times a month to help maintain healthy brain function, as well as enjoy each other's company, have fun and eat pizza. However, are we the only Perquackey owners who have trouble with the black letters wearing off quickly? I have purchased three games in three years and my latest has barely discernible black letters after being used only a dozen times. The red letters are still fine.
