User Submitted Bear Dress Up Puzzle ReviewsDate: 2008-09-02 doesn't store well if you have a really young one This is a very cute toy and the different expressions on the bears are great for talking about feelings, as someone else mentioned. Nice portable size. However, being a "portable" toy, the box is just a whiff too small to just throw the pieces in and go -- they have to be placed in or shuffled about so as to take up less space to fit the lid on. The lid is the other gripe I have. For some reason I just expected it to be a slider but it's just placed on, so it isn't secured at all. We have a fun rubberband for it, but it would have been nice if it were a slider or flip-top lid to make less of a mess as a portable toy. Date: 2008-07-01 Great Toy Yes, this is relatively smaller than most of M&D's puzzles. But that's the beauty of it. My little girl loves it, it is much smaller than the Maggie Leigh dress-up set, so she takes it with her around the house, and plays with it before she takes her nap in the afternoon. Yes, it is made in China, but it is very well made consider the $5 price tag. Date: 2008-01-19 Melissa and Doug - High Quality Standards I see that some reviews talk about Melissa & Doug items made in china. I spoke with Melissa & Doug on this, ALL of their items are product tested in their home office before being sold. They have the highest quality controls - they are not a public giant company so they can adhere to their own higher standards. As for this toy, my daughter loves it. It is great to dress up the bear in so many different outfits! As usual, Melissa & Doug have outdone themselves again! :) Date: 2007-12-05 MADE IN CHINA! Like everything I've received from Melissa and Doug this too is made in China. I thought I had done my research well but it looks like I have to buy more lead test kits. They are not a US toy manufacturer as I thought. Date: 2002-02-15 The small sale price on this item reflects its size. I guess I should've read the dimensions in the description, because I was very surprised to see how small this toy actually was. Despite its size, my children loved playing with this toy. It is a fine toy for independent play, but unfortuantely, because it only has the one surface to display the bear on, it was not long before we had a fight on our hands. I will tell you that the best aspect of this toy, is that it offers a new method of explaining "feelings" to a young child. The happy, sad, mad, and sick faces were a fun new way to teach my little ones.
