User Submitted Naturally Playful Sandbox Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-06-27 Best Ever This is a wonderful sandbox. We have 3 teenage boys and used the little tikes turtle sandbox for years. Now after adopting our little girl and 15 years after our turtle s.b. we were pleasantly surprised to find such an upgrade in sandboxes.The appearance of this one is not an eyesore blends nicely with any landscaping, seats on the corners perfect for my 2 yr old daughter and 4 yr old neice, amount of space inside not too small or too large. The cover is durable and very sturdy but light enough to take off easily. When I remove the cover and place it upright on the patio my 2 yr old who is all of 24 lbs climbs on top of it and it does not cave or buckle one bit. We live near the windy city and have had many storms the past 3 months with over 50 mile and hour winds --cover never budged, no water inside. We are very very pleased with this sandbox , definetly worth the money. Terri Date: 2008-06-26 Great Sandbox This is a great product. Much larger than I expected but that is great if you have the room. An adult can sit on the "rocks" and play with the kids. Cover stays on well and keeps the sandbox clean. Date: 2008-06-26 Sandbox fun for one and all! We purchased this for our daugther's 2nd birthday and are THRILLED! The size is nice and 2 or 3 of her little friend's can fit in it fine. The only negative is that there isn't a latch or anything for the lid. We live in Colorado where there are high winds so we just threw a 2X4 on top of the lid just in case the wind gets strong. We haven't seen it blow away, but we don't want to either.... EXCELLENT product Date: 2008-06-01 Happy Mom My 2 year old son received this for his birthday. I can't say enough good things about it! He absolutely loves it. The sides are the perfect height so he can go in and out on his own. The top has not blown off in strong winds, and I've never seen any water or bugs (thank goodness) in the sand! My sister's old sand used to be damp and have spider and ants in it. I was worried, since I know my son would play with them. No insects here! We only filled the box with half the sand limit. I think 100 lbs.. Perfect! Date: 2008-05-28 Grandson likes sandbox My 2 1/2 grandson loves playing in this sandbox. He has a couple of large Tonka trucks and bucket and shovels in too. The lid has stayed on during some wind and rain storms. Although he is the only child using the sandbox there is room for 2 more children in it. I was very disappointed to see how very flimsy it is, it looked sturdy in the pictures, but as I said my grandson likes it and thats enough for me.
