How can anyone not rate these speakers 5.+ They are only [...] tops and these speakers rock. Best speakers i ever heard for a oomputer, BUY NOW>. Date: 2009-07-13 Great 2.1 system Highs and mids sound excellent from the two monitor speakers... Bass is good but overly boomy even at about 1/10th max on the dial. Others have said the sub is not for tight spaces - being in a dorm room this is probably an issue for me if anyone. Probably less boomy if not butted against a wall and under a desk. Here's the nice bonus with these things - they sound amazing used as a 2.1 system for your TV. Full surround systems become frustrating because they are just too much to have on all the time for regular TV or gaming... The THX certification must mean something because these just sound awesome for TV and movies. The clear tweeters make dialogue come through nicely and the big sub is pretty impressive for explosions and such. Fills in the flat sound on LCD's and plasmas without being over the top (unless you want it to, because these things can crank up to be pretty loud). Honestly, for most people, this is a much better idea than some big store home theater in a box. Look on ebay - I got open box returns on there for around $60 shipped a few years ago and they were literally brand new condition Date: 2009-05-27 Great Sound Quality, Questionable Build Quality I had two sets of these, and they both failed - one at 3 years and one at 3.5 years. The sound quality is terrific, and the sub is actually pretty powerful, but the build quality leaves a bit to be desired. Date: 2009-05-05 Sounds good but got some disturbance in right channel The voice is great; esp when you turn it up. There is a disturbance that I started getting in the right channel. I will try speaking to the customer service as this is still just 3 months old. Date: 2009-03-30 Impressive The speakers and subwoofers are excellent for the relatively small amount of money they cost. Sound is clear and the sub woofer is pretty powerful. Was told by my upstairs neighbor that it "shakes her house" (live in a condo)when the music is played at a louder level.
