User Submitted Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Computer Speaker System (Black) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-05-09 Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Speaker System works for me I was looking for a speaker system for my Sansa e280 MP3 player. There is not out there to support Sansas. After reading various reviews, I first went with the JBL On Tour speakers. I was very disappointed with the sound quality (especially base) so I returned them. I next tried to order Cambridge Soundworks Multi-Media Extreme 2.1. After ordering, I was notified that the satellite speakers were backordered for 6+ weeks. I cancelled that order and went with these Klipsch speakers instead. I have been very pleased with the speakers overall (great sound quality for the price). I only use them for my Sansa and not my computer. My only complaint (mentioned by other reviewers as well) is that the on-off switch is on the back of the base - not very convenient. Date: 2008-05-08 Highly recommended. The Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers are just as I expected. I am currently using them as a low budget solution for my game room setup. Since it is a smaller room, I didn't really feel the need to go all out with an expensive surround sound solution, but the aural experience from the Sharp Aquos 2nd gen gaming TV was leaving me a little flat. These speakers are everything I was looking for with very rich sound and have a very high quality build. I can not recommend this set enough for anyone who wants excellent sound without breaking the bank. Date: 2008-05-05 Klipsch... no joke! I had to do a little thinking after my puppy ate through my old set of speaker wires for my desktop. do i want to get a new set of "cheapies" or do i want to go with something that will last me and be worthwhile? well the decision was easy for me after reading the reviews on these speakers, go the second route... so i did and i must say i am VERY pleased with their performance. in fact they out preform our little bose system that we use for the main part of the house. these guys can go as loud as you want with crisp, clear sound that is second to none. i recommend these speakers to anyone who wants quality and is willing to pay the somewhat small upgrade price. the reason i say that is that the price difference was pretty big, maybe $100.00 more than the alternative, but i think thats pretty small when you think of how long they will last and what you really get out of them in the long run. buy these speakers, you won't be disappointed! Date: 2008-05-05 Finest Computer Speakers in the Land!! I have a high end home theater with Klipsch Reference speakers and B&K 7.1 Amplifier. The sound of these ProMedia 2.1 speakers is just as amazing to me for the computer as that system is for the Home Theater. I can't find words to tell you how strongly I recommend these speakers. I also have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card in my computer, so the speakers get the best signal to reproduce. If life was as good as these speakers, we would be in heaven!! They are that good! Date: 2008-04-30 Fantastic Sound I just bought these for my office at work (to the chagrin of my neighboring co-workers). Plugged them in and started playing my favorite epic movie/game soundtracks and everything sounded phenomenal. My coworkers were stopping by to check just what the heck was going on since it was so loud and lush in sound. I have to keep the sub at its lowest setting as not to annoy the next door co-workers since it is so powerful. I like that it has a tweeter horn (whatever they are called) because you can have clear sound even at the lowest volume settings. For some reason on other speakers you lose sound clarity when you have them at really low volumes. So great highs, med and low frequencies at all volume settings. Only con is that the power switch in on the sub, but no biggie I just turn it off as I leave the office. Great highly recommended speakers but might be way of an overkill for an office setting.
