Impressive
The speakers and subwoofers are excellent for the relatively small amount of money they cost. Sound is clear and the sub woofer is pretty powerful. Was told by my upstairs neighbor that it "shakes her house" (live in a condo)when the music is played at a louder level.

Making the best better !!
I bought the Klipsch Promedia ultra 5.1 system, not the THX, 4 yr`s ago and was amazed at its preformance. I have since replaced all the wiring with heavier Monster cables. And replaced all the satellite`s and center speakers with B&W 601 bookshelf units. The results are astounding! I must add that I have allways kept the sub unit elevated up of the floor with air circulation all around it. I also have a small usb powered fan behind it. All essential to preserve amp life. As you may have read those Bash amps tend to fail. I still dont think you`ll find a better 5.1 computer system today. Good luck!

The best computer speakers i have ever heard! - Bar None -
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Computer Speaker System (Black)

I only wanted to say a couple of things in addition to the good reviews above. I have had virtually every computer speaker made, including the Harmon Kardon soundsticks, the JBL Creatures, Altec Lansings, etc.

These speakers absolutely are untouchable by anything else currently available. Period.

I own two recording studios and am very accustomed to ultra-high quality sound, and these speakers are the first ones to really encroach on a studio grade experience.

Thanks Klipsch...

Still awesome after SIX YEARS!
I bought a set of Klipsch Promedia 5.1 speakers when they debuted late in 2002. It is now the beginning of 2009 and the speakers are still in perfect working condition. They can still rattle the window pains, they can still wake the neighbors. I've upgraded or rebuilt my various PCs since then so many times that I've lost count, but the Klispch speakers remain as the one constant component of my system that I have yet to upgrade (and hopefully won't need to for some time yet). I have put these speakers through hell, they have seen hours of torturous online FPS gameplay, music and movies. A couple of the satellites have fallen and hit wood floors and still sound great. This is a testament to the quality of these speakers and Klipsch. I write this review although this listing for the product on Amazon is no longer available, but I wanted to reassure anyone looking for the last word in PC speakers that these not only are the best performing, but also are very durable speakers. The only odd thing I have after six years is a slight amount of speaker noise, which dissapates after being on for about a minute. There is still a loyal following and demand for these speakers, so if you want a set, get them if you can. They are still available on eBay and you can sometimes buy them a piece at a time on Klipsch's website. Speaking of whom, Klipsch has excellent support and offers repair service for the speakers, and even continues to sell small replacement part like the speaker grills.

LOW QUALITY
First a satellite speaker burned out so I paid $35 for a new one. Now the built-in amp burned out. These have been a hassle, an embarrassment as a gift, and a waste of money.
