User Submitted Melissa & Doug Deluxe 50-piece Wooden ABC/123 Blocks Set Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-11-29 TOO SMALL I JUST RECEIVED THESE FROM AMAZON, I HAD NO IDEA HOW SMALL THEY REALLY WERE WHEN I PLACED THE ORDER. IT WAS JUST A DISAPPOINTMENT TO SEE THE ACTUAL SIZE I IMMEDIATELY WENT ONLINE AND REQUESTED AND PRINTED A RETURN LABEL. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, THESE REALLY ARE VERY SMALL. THE PLUS IS THAT THEY ARE WOOD, AND ITS SO HARD TO FIND WOOD BLOCKS IN THE STORES. BUT I WILL JUST KEEP LOOKING. Date: 2007-10-02 Classic Blocks At A Great Price These are your usual classic wood ABC/123 blocks. They are made just like the ones we had when we were kids. My son loves spelling words with them and just stacking them. He loses his ABC blocks a lot or forgets to put a few away and the dogs love to chew on these.lol The local stores have not been selling these lately and he was wanting some more. I found these on Amazon when I was on the site to purchase a few other items. I noticed that they have the best price I have seen on this amount of blocks. Wal-Mart (when they actually have them) sells a similar set for twice the price of these. If you are looking for this toy, just go ahead and buy these. They are the best price I have found. Date: 2007-08-14 Cuddles' favorite toy These are the traditional wooden alphabet blocks, with embossed letters or numbers on 2 sides. I buy them for my umbrella cockatoo because they are American made (safe and lead free). I will continue to buy many sets. Date: 2007-07-19 Blocks Rock! I got these blocks for my youngest son's birthday and he loves them. My boy is a tough customer too. These blocks have been put through their paces, and you can believe that. They have stood the test of Brenny-bot and come out a winner! The durability of these wooden blocks (which are just plain classic in the first place) is amazing. No fading or chipping as of yet. Date: 2007-06-02 They're ok They are small and fun for little guys to stack, but the pictures and letters on each block are not associated in any way... Which makes no sense to me at all. Also, they have somewhat sharp corners and are VERY painful to step on. Otherwise, they a good toy. At age two, my son loved to stack and build with them, but hadn't much interest in the letters. He could not put them back in the box himself, but it wasn't too much work for an adult to keep the blocks straight while plopping them in.
