User Submitted Bruder MAN Cement Mixer ReviewsDate: 2010-08-04 Realistic Cement Mixer The Bruder Man Cement Mixer is sturdy, realistic and fun! This is a toy that my grandson will play with for years. He is a two year old construction equipment fan and this is an excellent addition to his collection. The crank handle to turn the mixer is easy to use and the attached hose adds to the play value. I highly recommend this toy for long lasting play value and sturdy construction. Date: 2010-06-09 Excellent Hands-On Learning Toy Excellent life-like cement mixer for a 3-5 year old who's not too rough with toys, and able to follow simple instructions. Sand can be poured into the drum, and water put into the water tank. When you turn the drum it mixes the "cement" and pours it out the chute. My son loves it, uses it correctly, and takes good care of it, but he tends to be respectful toward all his toys. There was one boy at a playground sandbox who could not follow instructions and had to be told 3 times not to put sand in the water tank. After the 3rd time, the cement truck was removed, and the boy was no longer allowed to borrow it. Dad had to clean out the water tank of sand, which was cleanable, and now it still works fine. Date: 2010-05-31 Expensive piece of plastic The all plastic and decal construction of this cement mixer was a big disappointment right out of the box. The shoddy quality and extremely low durability leave a lot to be desired in a child's toy. Bruder, the manufacturer, claims to be a German maker of "high quality" toys for over 90 years. This makes me think Mercedes and BMW but clearly I am mistaken. Today the cement mixed lies broken in several pieces. Mind you, this is not due to abuse - it's more a testament to the fact that this toy was never meant to actually be played with. Is it unreasonable to expect, for north of fifty bucks, to get a toy that has a little bit of craftmanship? My advice is to get Tonka - much higher quality at less than half the price! Date: 2010-05-03 My 2.5 year old loves it Other than the nozzle coming off the hose, every thing else has held up. Just be careful with young kids and this toy, it does have parts they could choke on. Date: 2010-04-22 Great Toy at a Great Price This is so much less expensive than target and from Bruder direct...my nephew loved it and the shipping was free too!! Great present and great price. Bruder makes great quality trucks.
