User Submitted Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-02-25 What a great toy!! My son got this for his 5th birthday. It took him a day to figure out how to follow the diagrams. Within 3 days he was creating his own circuts. I heard him teaching his 4 year old brother all about electricity. He said. "No John don't lay that across the battery it will short circuit. and, "The circuit has to make a complete circle from battery to battery for the electricity to flow through it." Never put water anywhere near anything electric." etc...... He just started Kindergarten. I know they are not learning about elctricity yet, so he had to of learned all of this from this toy. I was impressed. He is impresssed with himself. He's taking it into school for show and tell so he can show his teachers what he can do. This product is completely safe too. Think of it like legos with electrical parts. They will not get a shock. Just don't give it to a kid that will swallow the pieces. I buy the snap circuit sc-100 for his classmates when he is in invited to their birthday parties too. What a great gift! Date: 2007-02-23 Great toy! This is the type of toy that every parent loves! It is fun AND educational. My 6 year old son, loved it because it has real world projects (a light switch, a flying saucer toy, a doorbell, etc.) which he "built" himself. Each project takes about 5-10 minutes to put together and the instruction manual is VERY clear and easy to understand. It even expains the logic behind the projects (which he will probably understand a bit better when he is a bit older). I helped him with the first project and explained how to read the diagram in the manual. He took it from there and was building projects on his own. This toy is worth every penny! We have this 100 project, so I'd imagine that the 300 and 500 projects set would be even more fun. Date: 2007-02-17 Awesome product I bought this for my 10 year-old son who loves science. He is enthralled with this product. He cannot wait to come home from school and work on a new project. I will be purchasing the SC-300 set next! Excellent purchase. Date: 2007-01-24 Snap Circuits A Big Hit I sent this to my grandson for his 9th birthday. He's a very athletic child who usually likes sports equipment for gifts. He was very busy during a school break so he had very little quiet time to sit down and try the Snap Circuits projects.One day his mother was doing her household chores and didn't see him while he was busy at the kitchen table. She discovered that he was reading and following the directions for the projects, and he didn't want to be disturbed until he completed all of them. This was a big hit and one of his favorite gifts this year. Date: 2007-01-24 it's been a month and he's still playing with it! we got this for my 5 year old for Christmas. it's jan 23 and he still plays with it everyday! best "toy" we've ever gotten for him. the diagrams are so easy to read he can build the smaller circuits with no help. dad helps with the larger ones. will probably get another for a friend's birthday gift.
