My 6 year old nephew caught on right away, my 35 year old sister didn't "get it". So, the age ratings are not reliable! Date: 2008-10-27 An excellent twist on a very fun game! My wife and I tend to like games that "take a minute to lean and a lifetime to master." This two-person version of the standard Blokus game is great. I prefer the full-size version with four people, but it can be confusing to play a two-person game with the full-size board (and all four colors). This is the only true two-person version of Blokus and it happens to also be the "travel version" so you can take it with you. This game is a lot of fun and never gets boring! Date: 2008-10-23 Family Fun! My niece got this game for Christmas two years ago and we insist she bring it with her to all family gatherings! My grandkids loved it at five years old and still do. They can play with the adults,and often win! We have added a couple more games in the family so it's always out if there is a small or large gathering. You will want to shop around. My local Toys 'R Us wanted $[...] for one! The cheapest I found was at Amazon for $[...]/free shipping and no tax. Date: 2008-10-11 BEST GAME EVER!!! I have never been one for l*o*n*g board games and was hooked the first time I played this. Just ordered a bunch to give to family members as an extra Christmas gift. VERY easy to learn and if you are playing with older players, fast moving. Younger children seem to get stumped a little faster, where older player begin looking for moves as soon as their last turn is over. Honestly, one of the funnest games ever!!! Date: 2008-10-07 Excellent for family and friends This is one of the best games out there for friends and family. I am a collector of board and card games and this is one of my most frequently played and best loved games. Blokus take literally one minute to learn so it is very approachable by everyone. I have taught it to many people, always with excellent results. If you only have two players, or limited space, you can also try Blokus Duo: Travel Blokus For a little bit of variety, you can also try Blokus Trigon: Blokus Trigon All of these games are exellent. Duo is the same game as Classic, but with limited space and with pieces for two players. Trigon uses triangles instead of squares as the basic building block.
