User Submitted Apples to Apples Party Box Edition Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-12-29 Apples to Apples, a great game!!!! I have enjoyed playing this game with many different friends and family members. Of all the different copies of the game that I've interacted with I've never encountered a problem. It is an excellent game for families, as we have had children as young as eight play. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a safe, fun, simple, family game. Date: 2007-12-28 Fun for all ages This is a great game, good for all ages. It's award winning, highly reviewed and the reasons why are apparant. A simple card game that challenges players to think outside the box, it brought lot of laughter to our table. We've played with kids as well as adults-only groups and both sets enjoyed it tremendously. Date: 2007-12-27 Hilarity Will Ensue Apples to Apples is the epitomy of a simple pleasure. The rules are the least complicated I have ever read in my life, but you can literally play all night long. You could probably pull off playing with three people, but four is better. As you move further into the game, you'll all be laughing your butts off at some of your ridiculous answers and the fact that you've had "The Wright Brothers" in your hand for over an hour. I highly suggest this game to groups of four or more who want a night of hilarity. Date: 2007-12-26 Appealing apples This is a great game. It's not real cerebral, but it's funny so adults enjoy it and fun so older kids like it. Three generations of my family play it and hilarity ensues. No special talents are needed, so it's great for parties or family gatherings, or just for small groups of friends. This game was recommended to me and I was not disappointed. Date: 2007-12-19 The MOST boring game I have ever played! I was shocked when we opened this game up and started playing. With all the positive reviews here I honestly thought it would be at least decent. Boy, was I wrong. There is no thinking at all, the tempo of the game is super slow and no one was laughing. We played this two times - once with 4 people, once with 8 people. It wasn't fun either time. Basically all the game is - one person is the judge and picks a green card. Each other player has 7 red cards. They find the card that most accurately describes the green card, tosses it in the middle and then the judge shuffles them and decides which one they think is closest. That's it! Then you the next judge has to reshuffle and hand out more cards to everyone and there is a lot of wasted time inbetween each boring hand. I don't know if people that like this game don't normally play games but we are a large extended family who loves to play Catch Phrase, Scattagories, Pictionary, Cranium, Taboo, Tribond, Baulderdash, Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture and so forth. If you are like us, don't bother with this mindless game. This is a VERY boring game compared to any of them. If you are a family that thinks there aren't other games out there for the entire family with younger kids look for Pictionary Jr, Cadoo, Family Feud, Cranium, Whoonu, Outburst Jr, etc... before this one. Heck, I would play Candyland before Apples to Apples.
