Don't pay $45 for this toy...
I actually bought this as a gift for my 7 month old nephew, so he digs the bright colors and sounds, but I can't really attest to the educational value of it yet. The other reviews are pretty accurate: It talks on its own at random times, and doesn't really finish the songs.

DON'T PAY $45(+S&H) for this! It's worth the 20 bucks I bought it for at walmart.

cute puppy
My son got this for his 1st b-day and he played with it once or twice.
Its a cute puppy ,but it does not keep him entertained.
Its very sensitive and goes off with a easy touch.
If anyone wants this puppy let me know.

Fun but could be more durable
My daughter received this as a gift for her first birthday. The ear stopped working after only three weeks. She loves it and has played with it every day for the last eight months. I think she would love it even if it made no noise at all.

Kids Love It!
I got this for my oldest daughter for Christmas two years ago, and she got another as a gift last Christmas because she loves the first one so much. The great thing about it is that each of the paws and other buttons are so easy to push that even a very young baby can do it. However, this means that it goes off in the car, in the middle of the night, if you think too hard about it... my daughter takes it everywhere she goes. She has autism and can now sing some songs thanks to this toy. After two years of hard use, the ear no longer works but we haven't even had to replace the batteries more than once. As long as you don't mind being driven insane by hearing the same four songs over and over, it's a great toy!

My son didn't like it, and I hated the voice
I bought this for my son when he six months old. I didn't expect him to be able to play with it much at that age, so it sat on the shelve till he was a year old and when I reintroduced it to him at a 13 months old, he didn't want anything to do with, to tell you the truth I was sorta happy that he didn't, becuase the puppy's voice really annoyed me. I could hardly stand it. I tried to give it to him to play with a couple more times over the months and he never took intrest, so I give it away.
