User Submitted Melissa and Doug Deluxe Standing Easel Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-12-28 Great! Santa gave this Easel to my 6 year old daughter three days ago. I absolutely love this Easel.I was amazed at the it's durability as I was putting it together. When combined with the Starter set, it became the gift that keeps on giving. I have enjoyed many hours of peace and quiet, and my daughter may become the next Frieda Kahlo. Date: 2008-12-27 GREAT for keeping 3 year occupied by herself!!! I ended up purchasing this easel because it was on sale for $25 here on Amazon; such a fantastic buy! Anyways, it's been the biggest hit for my 3 year old daughter and keeps her entertained for hours by HERSELF!!! We regular washable markers on the dry erase side as well as regular kid stamps and use a wet wipe to wipe it off. It comes off in a heart beat! We haven't even gotten around to using the roll b/c she loves the dry erase side the best! We also have these plastic shaped tracers and she traces all sort of shapes on it and then colors them in! fun :) The good part of using washable markers opposed to the dry erase ones is that it comes off her clothes :) Date: 2008-12-27 Amazing fun! This was the hit of Christmas! Very sturdy, easy to assemble and nice surfaces on both sides. Big enough and strong enough for my two little artists to work on at once. Date: 2008-12-27 Great toy at a great price We debated getting this for our 1 1/2 yr. old for Christmas, especially with some of the reviews that the chalkboard needed to be primed before it could be written on, but puchased anyway and it was a great investment. It is sturdy, has plenty of room to store markers and chalk, and we had no problems with chalk on the chalkboard (we have Crayola sidewalk chalk, which goes for a little over $2 at Walmart for 20 pcs in a bucket, and seems a little softer than standard chalk, plus, it's nice and thick so it holds up well). It is also pretty easy to assemble, and seems like it will last for a long time. Would definitely recommend it or buy it again (plus, no batteries or noise...something that uses nothing but imagination...Even better!) Date: 2008-12-27 Great Product! This is a GREAT product! Not too difficult to put together and very sturdy. You dont need any tools, you are given everything needed to assemble. It's definetly worth the money and I recommend it for any little artist. My kids love it.
