User Submitted Rubik's Professor Cube 5x5 ReviewsDate: 2009-01-06 A definite puzzle I bought this for my husband. He already knows how to solve the original cube so I bought this one so he would have a new challenge. So far he hasn't solved it but he is working on it. The toy holds up well and works perfectly. Date: 2009-01-06 Adding to the Collection If you are a Rubriks fanatik this is for you! It was nice to find the 5 x 5 since my son has mastered the 3 x3 and the 4 x 4. Like all of them they are a little stiff to turn at first but once he "oiled" them down, they flew quickly. Shipping was quick and this is a toy that will last forever and batteries not needed!! Stickers will evidently peel off after LOTS and LOTS of use. But they sell replacements. Date: 2009-01-05 Great toy I just got this in the mail about a week ago after finishing all the 2, 3, and 4 sided rubik's cubes. I figured this would be no different, yet challenging. It uses many algorithms from the 3x3 and 4x4 so you almost feel like you're solving one of those. Pieces do tend to try and pop off, but if you're gentle and don't force it, they'll go back into place. It says it isn't intended for speed solving, so if you just do it for fun at a good pace then you'll be fine. I've had no problems with it falling apart. Great toy, would definitely buy from this company again. Date: 2009-01-03 Great Buy I bought this product and just got it after i ordered it two days ago and it said that it would come the fifth. As soon as I got it I started playing with it and there was nothing wrong with it. And for $9 it was an unbelievable deal. You would usually pay like $30 in a store and not get the thrill that something is coming in the mail. Date: 2008-12-31 Not as bad as all the hype After purchasing this product and awaiting its long-past-expected-delivery, i was actually happy with the product. My 5x5 turns fairly well, though fragile would seem to fit to a degree. Personally, after taking it apart and lubing it. Mine has never unintentionally come apart. It is slower than my 3x3 cube but that much was expected. I hate the stickers on EVERY rubiks or stock cube and ALWAYS invest in the tiles or textured stickers advertised online. I think that what you get out of a cube is what you put in, and if you buy this EXPECT a stock cube. If you want to speed solve and continually use it, invest in lube and stickers. It is a great puzzle and any lover of the 3x3(like myself(I can solve in under 1 min)) will love this puzzle even more.
