The tools are pretty well built. I wish they didn't have to brand every piece as BtB. Biggest disappointment was the helmet. It does not have an adjustment band inside and is somewhat small. It's actually best described as a plastic bowl and won't stay on his head. Date: 2008-11-11 On of his favorites I bought this for my almost-two-year old for his Halloween costume. I don't think he has taken it off since. The tools are perfect for little hands, but keep an eye on him when he has the hammer! We got our money's worth for sure. Date: 2008-11-09 great idea, average execution Bought this set for my son, who is almost three and loves anything construction-related. We have had this set for almost a month, and have mixed feelings about it. The hard-hat does not stay in place - should have been obvious to me from the picture as it has nothing to hold it in place. this annoyed my son as he has a fireman's plastic hat that has an adjustable insert that enables me to adjust it so that it is held snuggly in place - this has no such thing. the belt is good for the most past - although all the slots seem to be the same size so it was difficult to insert some of the tools and there was also a sizing issue. however, the talking buckle/pront part was such a hit. my son enjoyed having bob the builder talk to him! so overall, i would say that this set has the potential but still a few details were left out. Date: 2008-11-08 great tools, not so great hat My boys got this for their 3rd birthday and they love it but the hat is huge! It's a really cute toy and worth $[...] but be prepared to alter the hat to fit or else it'll slide right off in two seconds flat. Date: 2008-07-11 18 month old loves it! We bought this for our son because he was interested in our tools when we would work on projects. After looking around, this looked like the ideal toy, and it's worked out great! The wrench and pliers actually open, the screwdriver works with the nails in the ruler. The belt sings and lights up. The reason I gave only 4 stars is that the hat is too big, and isn't lined. I've lined it myself, so it fits my son's head. Also the tool belt is a little loose when my son wears it...though he's on the thin side. My son will "fix" his toys, and can wear his tool belt for hours...it was a good purchase!
