If he can stack it or build with it then he is all for it. We put these together before Christmas morning and put them in a large bag. My husband thought 40 blocks would be plenty. It is alot of blocks but alot of smaller blocks. My son loves them just the same but I think we will add to them on his birthday. It is alot to store but they are one of his favorite things he got for Christmas. Date: 2007-12-28 My son loves these blocks My son is 15 months old and when I would take him to local Early Childhood classes he would always go play with the school's brick blocks like these. So I decided to get these for him for Christmas. He loves to stack them. Great value! Date: 2007-12-27 jumbo? hardly. i bought these blocks thinking they were going to be like the one's i had when i was a kid. no such luck. only 8 of the 40 blocks are what i'd even classify as jumbo. 24 of the blocks are about the size of a box of checks. the set we bought as kids from The Learning Store was much more durable. i am disappointed in Melissa and Doug for misrepresentinig the item; they're usually pretty good. don not recommend at all. of course i paid full price for the item...now its $14.99 great. Date: 2007-12-26 Melissa and Dough cardboard blocks Nice set of blocks. Very durable. Shiny surface for wiping off. Nicer and stronger than the 'other' brand of cardboard blocks, which we own also. Our kids play with these everyday, over and over. They last a long time. We've had one set for 2 years now and the big blocks are starting to get crushed from the kids walking and stepping on them, but these newer blocks look even stronger. Don't worry about these falling apart or not lasting. These things take a beating. Plus, when they build them up and knock them down..it's quiet. Cardboard isn't rackety and loud when it's hits the wood floors. Date: 2007-12-26 Great Classic Toy This was purchased for my 4 year-old & 19 month-old nephews & they starting playing with them right away....we couldn't assemble them fast enough! My son, age 8, really enjoyed playing with them as well. It's a great toy & surprisingly strong. Of course, the only complaint is that no one in our family has enough room to store these. Even so, I would definitely buy them again.
