User Submitted Uncle Milton Ant Farm Gel Colony Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-06-28 ant farms need ants. It took 5 months for the ants to arrive, by that time the gel had dried significantly. Fortunately all the ants were dead, so no problem. Customer service was kind enough to send a new gel farm and more ants. 2/3 of the new ants arrived dead and they remaining 7 barely do anything. My son is embarrassed we gave one of these to a friend as a birthday present and is very disappointed with the toy. Date: 2007-06-26 Ant Farm Gel Colony I am very pleased with the Ant Farm Gel Colony... the ants are already hard at working making tunnels. However, it was a very frustrating process getting the farm in the mail. The first ant farm I had shipped to me was covered with mold when I opened it. It took a week for the company to send me the information on how to send the product back for a replacement. Almost three weeks after receiving the initial ant farm, I finally had a second, non-moldy ant farm to put my ants into. I had to transport the ants to a different habitat to keep them alive for the three weeks I was waiting for the company to exchange their defective product. It's not fun trying to move the ants around-- they're mean! Date: 2007-05-06 Love this! I get this for all my grandchildren every year (sometimes more) and they are so excited. Very fun to watch the ants and SO easy! As many as the kids have had they still love each and every one. The hard part is waiting for the ants! Highly recommend this!!!! Date: 2007-04-20 4+ months waiting and no ants My son was thrilled to receive his ant colony for Christmas and couldn't wait for the ants. So far, all we've received is a series of lame postcards saying they're still waiting for ants to ship. As my son said "In a couple more weeks, we can find our own!" I rated it 5 stars for durability because it's sitting on the shelf abandoned at this point. This toy was a total bust and I would like a refund. Date: 2007-03-26 What ants??? I ordered the ants in December (Christmas present), and although the temperatures were unseasonably warm here throughout January, no ants arrived. I have called several times, with the same excuse. They have my money and won't deliver the ants. I would suggest any other company besides Uncle Milton Industries.
