Still love these. This is what taught her shapes and colors too. She did great and the toy is still in great condition. Very impressed. Date: 2008-09-21 Great for learning shapes and colors My daughter got this for her first birthday and it helped her to quickly identify shapes and colors. I love all of Melissa and Doug's products and this product is no exception. It is great because the pieces are so chunky and easy for a small child to manipulate. Date: 2008-04-11 My 15 mo old knows her shapes! I purchased this puzzle for our 15 month old little girl. I thought that would give her visual and tactile learning of shapes. The puzzle is very colorful and it is great that they can pick up those chunky pieces and manipulate them. Thanks to this puzzle, in about 2 weeks she knew all of those shapes. It is just amazing. Now at almost 2, she still plays with it and is so proud of herself, always asking me to tell her to pick a shape. Or she will just pick some herself and will name them for me. Great product! Date: 2008-01-28 jury is still out Got this for a 16-month old girl. she played with it over the course of a few days and it's been sitting in the corner since. I'm hopeful she'll pick it back up randomly like she does with many toys. She quickly picked up on which shapes go where, but her dexterity isn't always good enough to "lock" the pieces into place. Date: 2007-06-18 good solid wooden puzzle my 2 y.o. managed to work this puzzle right out of the box, so it doesn't provide a long stretch of play, but still finds it interesting and it's great to practice that eye/brain coordination. it's built well so it should last a while. we lost the rectangle, but it should be easy enough for my BIL to whip up another one in his wood shop.
