User Submitted Table Topics - Conversation Topics Game ReviewsDate: 2008-12-01 Good for stimulating conversation with the in-laws I purchased Table Topics prior to hosting some relatives for Thanksgiving. It's not exactly revolutionary, it seems like we could come up with the questions ourselves with enough time - stuff like "What generation would you like to have grown up in" or "What was the most beautiful drive you've ever taken". It seems a bit expensive for what it is, but the case is attractive and it did generate some interesting conversation. It was a lot better than talking about the same old things that we always do, and I actually learned some interesting things about my in-laws that never would have come up otherwise. Date: 2008-09-01 Table Topics are fantastic! My wife and I love these. they're great when we just want to stimulate new/different conversation between us, and they're even better for getting things going when friends are over. We bring them on trips and have spent many a casual meal in a restaurant learning more about each other. Replay value is high because our tastes and opinions change over time and answering differently leads to conversations about the evolution of the answers. Great fun, and highly recommended as a gift idea! Date: 2008-08-08 Party Fun This game is a great icebreaker at a party where not everyone knows each other. It doesn't work as well with best friends but sometimes you can find out stuff you didn't know about the other person. Date: 2008-06-14 table topics Product arrived on time and in good shape. I have used the cards before and enjoy the topics it introduces. You learn things about your friends you did not know and helps you get to know other people. It is a great product. Date: 2008-03-18 Great idea, but . . . An excellent concept and some intriguing questions. A bit expensive, but the overall design is attractive. I read reviews before ordering, so I knew there was some risk of a damaged container; unfortunately that's what I got. The plastic case, which is designed for display, is quite scratched and one corner has a sizeable gouge. The cards are dingy; perhaps that's the recycled paper, but some also have red ink smears on the text side. It's just acceptable enough that I don't want to go through the hassle of contacting the seller, packing and returning, etc. with what seems to me a good chance a replacement would not be pristine. In terms of condition, this item would be removed from a store shelf or would be marked down due to the damaged case.
