User Submitted Schwinn Roadster 12-Inch Trike (Red) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-09-25 ok tricycle, not the best This Schwinn tricycle doesn't have the quality I would expect but I'm sure that has everything to do with them selling their brand name off. The plastic seat broke a month after purchase but their customer support was very good and I had a replacement seat for free with a few days. The front fork bends too easy when pedaling hard and the front wheel uses cheap plastic bushings. It's also a deceptively heavy tricycle. Date: 2008-09-24 CUTE This Tricycle Is Perfect For My Daughter It Is Cute Just Like She Is. I Love It Because It Doesn't Look Like Every Other Cheap Toy Tricycle Out There. It Is Just That (CUTE). The Only Thing That Would Make It Better Is If It Was Made In The USA. Like All Things Should Be. Date: 2008-09-24 what a disappointment I ordered two of these tricycles in the pink for my twin granddaughters. They arrived late on a friday. One of the tricycles was fine altho difficult to put together. The other tricycle was not fine. The back deck which hold the two back wheels arrived in pieces. The screw meant to hold them together was not doing its work. In addition, it was obvious the design was flawed in that the screw used was too short to hold what it was suppose to. So after 12 hours of attempting to put the tricycles together, we had one working and one nonworking trike. Try to explain that to twins. The company responded by sending us the screw but we couldnt do anything about repairs for almost 7 days. So a BIG disappointment to the twins who wanted to start riding right away. The tricycles are not worth the price, the hype and the reputation that they have. I wish I had purchased a less expensive tricycle from a local store that we could have checked to see that all the parts were okay. There is some obvious design flaws in this tricycle that Schwinn needs to address especially when it comes to expecting a too short screw to hold a rear wheel assembly in place. Date: 2008-09-20 FABULOUS! I got this when my son was 20 months. After about a 1 or 2 weeks of him just looking at it, he started riding. HE LOVES it! He scoots around and he looks so cute! He's 2 now and still not peddling yet, but he will soon I think, but that hasn't mattered in terms of him loving and using this bike daily. He rings the sweet bell and goes on his outdoor adventure. It is really a beautiful, shiny red bike - we get compliments on it all the time. My husband drilled in a little bucket on the back wood part so he can pick up rocks (and bugs!) along the way! (BTW-I passed up on the diego "big wheel" because I wasn't thrilled with how dirty and noisy my daughters Dora big wheel had became - so glad I did) Date: 2008-09-11 Great bike...packed poorly for shipping. We shopped around looking for the best bike for our son's 2 year B-Day and settled on this bike because of it's reviews. So far all that was said is true; this bike fits our son well: it does not tip over, it is easy to maneuver, he looks forward to being on his big boy bike everyday. It even fits our 5year old! But with all that being said; for the price that we paid it came to us in pretty bad condition. The frame had a few dings in it that caused paint to come off, the front tire tube had a hole in it and the tire fenders were bent. This all could have been different if the bike had been packaged better. All in all once we fixed the tire, the bike is wonderful, but I am dissapointed in how much it cost for what we got!
