Would never buy from Playhut again
POOR QUALITY!!! I agree with the other reviewers who said that this product was poorly constructed of flimsy material. The loops that attach the inside curtain were ripped when we first opened it. The stitching is uneven and unraveling. Whole thing is a wrinkled mess. Not as easy to put up and take down as they would have you believe either. Does store flat though. Also, the mirror that is supposed to be inside was not there. (though from what other reviewers have said, it doesn't seem like I am missing much) I contacted the Playhut company directly to complain about the poor quality and the missing mirror. I was informed that they do not sell or send out any replacement parts. When I told them I was disappointed in this company policy they took down my address claiming they would send me an extra mirror from their sample line. Needless to say I have not received it and don't expect to. My daughter who is 2 and a half has a good time playing with it, but she would probably have the same amount of fun in a huge cardboard box that I colored with crayons (and it would be a lot more durable!)

Playhut Boutique Review
This product is for my 2 year old. It is very nice for pretend, but I am very, very, disappointed in the mirror that was placed with this toy. It suggested that it's a mirror for a "boutique". But there is absolutely NO RELECTION in the so-called mirror. That is what it is all about, to see yourself in the mirror. If possible, I want some type of compensation in reference to this flaw. You should not try to deceive your customers. Aluminum foil would have been better!

FUN!
My daughter really enjoys this tent. She is 21 months (almost 2 years old and she has the time of her life with this tent. My only complaint would be that it is a little more time consuming to fold than I thought it would be, but otherwise this is a great gift!

be prepared to be frustrated
My 27 month-old daughter got this yesterday for Christmas and I bought a similar Thomas playhut for my nephew. The Thomas came first and I should have been prepared. I wanted to look at it before I wrapped it and it was a disaster to put away both because of the lack of coherent instructions and the fact that my daughter fell in love. When I put the beauty boutique up, she was just as excited. However, I was just as angry trying to deal with the thing.
It is made of flimsy material which I made the mistake, in my review of the Thomas tent, of giving the benefit of the doubt.
I tried to insert one of the rods into the door and ripped the stupid thing. Bye bye door.
The curtains are a sloppy mess, even though my daughter could care less.
There was another longer rod included and the instructions didn't mention this. I found out by reading reviews that the longer rod is supposed to go across the top to allow a "little" more stability. I'm not sure if it goes across the outside or inside but it's better than nothing. Without it, it collapsed on my daughter 3 times before I even got all the stuff out of the bag.
The mirror is a ridiculous waste of material. Even a 2-year-old can tell something is not right. And forget the dressing room curtains. Back in the bag they went along with the other rod and the ripped door.
This is all in the first 20 minutes folks!
I don't even want to attempt to put it away and my daughter probably won't let me because, thankfully, she has a good imagination and can pretend it isn't junk.
It took me an hour of struggling to put Thomas away and I anticipate something similar with this.
The only saving grace is that when and if I do get it folded up, it tucks away nicely. Also, I can't forget that it was pretty cheap cost-wise so I guess you do get what you pay for.
Overall, young kids will enjoy playing house. It will probably never be used the way it was meant to be and the extra parts are useless. So are the instructions. Recommended to parents with LOTS of patience.

Not as shown in the picture

I bought this Boutique for my daughter B-day, who turned 6 yrs old in Nov. I needed something a bit bigger so the 2 yrs old can also fit inside. The picture on Amazon looked gorgeous, but the one I received was not the same. The colors were lighter, not as intensive, and the purple curtain was missing, which took away some of the cuteness. Worst yet, it came with a 2-3" rip along one of the sewing lines.

In addition, there were two set of curtains (opposite to each other) instead of one. The entry door hasn't not hold up well. Every child is different, but mine preferred not to have the second opening as she wanted to treat it more like a house.
