User Submitted Melissa & Doug Large Shapes Jumbo Puzzle ReviewsDate: 2008-06-29 Melissa & Doug Large Shapes Jumbo Puzzle Not great. You can put red hexagon in to blue circle hole. It can confused player. Date: 2008-03-25 Our favorite Puzzle This is my son's favorite puzzle! I like it because he learned both colors and shapes from playing with it. We probably use it every day. It holds up to when he dumps the pieces and when his little sister chews on them. If you are looking for a quiet, learning activity that can also be fun, then I would suggest this puzzle. Date: 2008-02-24 Would be great - BUT it's SO CHEAPLY MADE [...] the fronts of all the pieces have stickers (versus being painted on (w/ vegetable dye)like Haba does with their toys) so after my son chewed off half of a piece's sticker and was swallowing it all within 5 mins, i had to take it away from him i discovered another sign that it's too cheaply made when after i took it away from my son he was covered in saw dust!!! turns out the thing is made of PARTICLE BOARD and the sides are not sealed so it's slightly rough and when my son rubbed his hand on it saw dust comes off... which is messy, but more importantly- dangerous! the inside of each shape on the board is also unfinished without any kind of sealant so saw dust comes from there too! if they had spent a bit more (and charged a bit more) they could have created a well made, safe great toy but doug and melissa have blundered on this one Date: 2008-02-04 Favorite toy By 20 month old plays with this puzzle every day. She can't get enough of it. And there are no batteries to change or annoying sounds if you kick it by accident :) Just a few frustrated yelps when she can't get a piece to fit correctly. Date: 2008-01-14 Great Melissa & Doug puzzle for shapes and colors Great toy that is built great in America. The colors and shapes help for a good interactive educational experience with my son. Highly recommended and it doesn't need batteries like most toys these days.
