My two yr-old has learned his alphabet in two weeks with this puzzle. It's an easy transition from this to a traditional letter-shaped puzzle, flashcards, etc. Date: 2008-09-26 Great product Great customer service My son has spent may hours playing with this board and is one of the few things he has never chewed or not taken care of. We actually lost one of the letters many months ago and recently contacted Melissa & Doug, amazingly within the week we had the missing N at no cost. We have many of their products and if we find a product we like we check the Melissa and Doug website and use them as a preferred manufacturer. Date: 2008-04-29 Beautiful puzzle...not for alphabet beginners This is such a beautiful puzzle and my toddler loves it. I bought it thinking I could help him learn the alphabet but the puzzle pieces are not really shaped like the alphabet and the picture on the puzzle peice is dustracting from the letter it is supposed to represent. Otherwise a great puzzle for older kids. Date: 2008-01-13 another excellent melissa and doug product Both my children have enjoyed this ABC product. I am always happy with Melissa and Doug products. My 2 year old received this for Christmas and loves the realistic pictures of the animals, some of the aminals are hard the figure out for her but with my explanation she caught on quick. The only concern I have is the durability of the puzzle pieces because she can be rough with them. But I will continue to purchase Melissa and Doug products for their quality, price and educational value. Date: 2008-01-07 Awesome alphabet puzzle! This alphabet puzzle is awesome; I think my kid even likes it, too! The artwork is phenomenal, and the letters' corresponding words aren't too abstract for young minds. I gave the "durability" a less than perfect score only because I'm a little nervous that the puzzle pieces/letters might snap if my toddler steps on them too much; they aren't so thick that they're indestructible. Overall, though, I love this toy! -I've bought it for two kids, so far, and won't hesitate to do so again!
