User Submitted Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Chomp and Clack Alligator Push Toy Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-04-08 great push toy! my 9 month old loves this thing. he's just starting to stand and take a few steps and this toy is definitly helping. it sounds great too... kinda like a bicycle on the boardwalk! Date: 2008-04-06 Poor Quality, disappointing Within two days of receipt the glued seams began separating. The wheels, which were warped from day one, stopped rolling and just slid accross the floor. Consequently the alligators stopped chomping and clacking. Trying to put this thing back together to a point where it functions correctly takes more time than it is worth. Our 22 month old has moved on and enjoys pushing his big plastic baseball bat around the house more than playing with this heavy wooden dust collector. Date: 2008-03-24 Fabulous walker! This is a great walker. Unlike those cheap plastic walkers, this is a high quality, sturdy, beautiful toy. The wood is solid and beautifully colored. The wheels have a handy non slip rubber inlay that helps control the speed of the walker. Our 8 month old son is having a BLAST with this thing. We love this company and love this walker! Date: 2008-03-18 14-month-old has basically loved it for a few months now This is a very durable, colorful toy that entertains my son on occasion throughout the day. Before we received this for his birthday a few months ago, he was enjoying pushing the laundry basket around the house which is obviously much lighter and easier to turn than this heavy thing. That's the biggest issue my son has with it: he can't turn it around and go the other way. He'll push it across the hardwood floor, reach the wall and then complain because he can't turn it. It's also very loud, so be aware that you may get a headache if your kid really like this toy. He only mildly cares for the butterflies that flip around on the front bar and when he gets bored with it he likes to grab and pull on the alligators themselves. All in all, it's an okay toy...just wish it was a little quieter and easier to maneuver. Date: 2007-12-28 Cute walker I love the concept of this walker. My son seemed to like it a lot. Negatives: If my son used it to pull himself up it would usually fall backwards. The front was not heavy enough to counter his weight. So he ended up being very cautious with it. Also, if you have older kids ( like 3-6) around I would NOT get this toy because if you push this toy fast (which they do) it is one of the most annoying toys ever! The chomping alligators are only endearing at a toddler's pace. Anything faster is incredibly obnoxious.
