Just too hard to hit the ball off the tether
My two grandchildren ages 5 and 4 years really liked the sounds effects from this toy but it was just too hard to hit the ball off of the tether. More often they hit other parts and often the plastic tether would come loose and fall to the ground. They did not balk when I said I was returning it. Who approved this toy for the market?

Great TOY!!!!
This toy is doing great for us and both of my sons LOVE it! They love the sounds and getting to have it load a ball for you they think that is awesome. Well I have a 18 mos old and a 4 year old and they have missed the ball numerous times (especially my 18 mos old) he hits the whole entire toy every inch I would say has been hit and we have had it indoors and brought outside in use, and had it for about 2 mos and has been a great toy for us!

Piece of Junk
Like many other reviews, my 4 year old son was obsessed with getting this after seeing the commercial. We bought it for him as a reward and he was ecstatic... Sadly, this thing is a total piece of junk. Unless you hit the ball perfectly (and what kid can do that every time?), the plastic arm that holds the ball flies off, requiring an adult to snap it back on. Then after about 10 hits, the velcro holder came off. I took the whole thing apart, re-attached it and it came right off again. Thats when I came in to check the reveiws on this product (which i should have done before I wasted my money) and found almost everyone has the same problems. Its a shame, because the few times it operated, it was alot of fun. This thing is going right back to the store. Now my son is heartbroken and we have wasted our Saturday with this thing. DO NOT BUY.

Replacement parts found!!!!!
We have had this toy for over a year now, and my 6,5,and 2 year old all love it (as do all the neighborhood kids). With that many children playing with it (and it being left out in the elements), it has lost a few balls. If you go to the Fisher-Price/Mattel website, they have an online catalog where you can order almost every part for the toy (including extra balls-which seem to be on backorder). Very helpful!

Cool toy!
We love it. It always works great and it has great sound effects. My only problem is that I need more balls. We lost one and having only 2 is tough. Other than that, my 4 yr old loves it. He is too small for my 10 yrold's pitching machine so this is a great alternative!
