We are so pleased with this little car!!! Some of the other reviews said that it didn't do well on hills or grass but we have had no issues with that. We bought the car for my 4 year old birthday and he and his 17 mo little brother just LOVE it!!! Their hot little car is the talk of the neighborhood. We are impressed with the kick it has and you acutally have to jog to keep up with it in the higher speed. It's just a really nice little car. Well, worth the money!!! Date: 2008-10-09 great but why do they always put those plastic wheels? The car is great and long battery life. Not to fast and not too slow. But those plastic wheels just have to go. Why can't they use real rubber or something? Date: 2008-07-28 Lots of Fun This is a great toy. The directions were easy to follow. I had it put together in about an hour. we have a semi level lot with lots of grass....but it's not 100% level. It does spin in the grass when it's in 2 1/2 MPH mode, but bump it up to 5 MPH and it goes with no problems at all. It will spin if the grass is wet or as the evening dew starts to settle. Also, be prepared for a work out until your child gets used to driving it! The battery life is long...she drove it off and on for about 4 hours and it still had two bars left. The directions say before first time use, charge at least 18 hours...the clerk at the store told me 24....She said if you charge it less than the recommended time the battery will not hold a charge. I charged mine for about 20 hours and it seems to be fine. Well worth the money paid. My daughter loves it. Date: 2008-06-04 almost makes me want to be a kid again Watching the two kids play in this looks like a lot of fun. Assembly was not so bad. Battery life is good. I have had no issues with durability with a seven year old and a 1.5 yr old riding together (about 80lbs). I would like to state that one day the wind blew the hood up. The battery is under the hood so it rises like a real car hood. I guess this could hit a child in the face with strong winds. Somewhat dangerous now that I think about it. hmm. Should have had a lock. Date: 2008-05-30 BUILDING A CAR FROM SCRATCH! I PASSED OUT!!! I couldn't wait to give this to my son for his 4th birthday. However, when I realized that I had to put it together, the sweat started to drip from my brow and I got tunnelvision like in the movies. I hate putting things together and you can see it from the Spice Rack that can't hold a jar or the toilet that leads people to slide foward when sitting on it. It's not in my genes and I'm kept away from projects from my wife...she'll do them because she has patience or my 7 year old daughter or hire someone. It took a couple days, especially having to do it in the garage while my son was away. The instructions were awesome and I actually did it all by myself. Give me a special clap and a gentle "aah!" My son's eyes bulged out when he finally saw his present. He is all about cars and now he parks it in the garage and I'm relegated to parking outside, because "now we have three cars." He straps the "Speed Racer" helmet he got and he's ready to go. He even drives to the end of the driveway to pick up the paper. He loves it and Fisher-Price made an awesome car. So, I'm ready for the challenge to put together your car if you buy it!!!!
