It's cute, I guess, in a poodly kind of way, but the software is incompatible with macs, and I didn't see mention of that, or the fact that you need a USB cable which is very much un-included. The children, they seemed to like it for about an hour, before they tired of the dog calling them "Friend" and referring to itself as "Puppy". Me, I cursed the thing first as I unwound and gnawed through those little wires and plastic, again when I realised the software was useless, and once again as I rummaged through my junk closet looking for a stupid cable that would fit. Date: 2007-12-11 Puppy grows and talks - pretty good This toy was easy to initialize (requires hookup to computer; but USB connector not included) and was cute. My daughter liked it, especially it saying her name in the middle of its various (fairly numerous - 15?) comments. It grew interestingly (legs lengthen, maybe some neck), effective enough. She hasn't played more with it after one full growth cycle, but it's only been two weeks. The voice is out-of-context; it's more an older woman adult/teacher than a credible puppy's voice - it really should be cuter and more kiddish, instead it's too adult. But she accepted it and laughed at it. Date: 2007-12-07 Daughter liked it I gave this to my daughter for her 7th birthday. She played with it constantly for the first week. Then I think she got bored with it. I personally think they could have done a better job with the voices. The voice that says the child's name doesn't sound the same as the voice that says the rest of the sentence. It sounds weird to me. Date: 2007-11-30 bop I got this toy for my granddaughter for Christmas and she begged me for it now. I caved in and am gald I did. She absolutely loves this dog. It is a teriffic toy. It really grows! It talks and makes cute noises when you feed her a bone. This is a great product - well worth the money. Date: 2007-11-11 Puppy LOVE! I purchased this toy for my daughter as a welcome home from the hospital gift! She enjoys when the puppy says her name and sings and grows! As an adult I am a little embarassed to say that "I TOO LOVE THIS TOY!" I especially love when it grows and then shrinks back down to a puppy. I JUST ordered the Retriever for my daughter for Christmas. I know she will love this puppy just as much as she loves her "PINK" I can't wait to check the new puppy out on Christmas morning too!
