User Submitted Fisher-Price Sesame Street Stretch and Fun Elmo ReviewsDate: 2009-01-04 Broke Quickly I bought elmo for my daughter for Christmas and by Jan. 2 he no longer worked. His arms still move but he doesn't talk. I changed the batteries and that did nothing. Elmo was really fun when he worked, now he's just another toy. I am very disappointed and would not recommend buying. Date: 2008-11-24 To be a Christmas Gift I've purchase this as a Christmas gift for my 1 year old niece. In researching the "Elmo" toys, this was evaluated as the most cuddliest. The voice/action box comsumes most of his body, so I'm hesitant that she will enjoy "Elmo" as much as her older sister will. I also question if this is a "new" toy as the fur appears to have been handled quite a bit. I'm sure the family will find him enjoyable, but as a consumer, I'm not sure it's a good choice for a 14 month old. Date: 2008-08-26 OK for older, could be scary for younger My daughter received this for Xmas at age 19 months. She liked it at first but was a little afraid of it taking when you pull its arm or leg. She still won't play with it 8 months later, but she will stay in the room & watch if someone else wants to play with it. There have been occasions when I heard it talking from the closet. Scary! Date: 2008-01-21 Cute and very soft! I bought this for my 19-month-old nephew for Christmas. When my sister unwrapped it for him, SHE squealed with delight! :) I think my sister (who is 23) has probably played with it more than he has. But I can't blame her... I was playing with it while it was in the box before I wrapped it. I love that you can pull on an arm and the corresponding leg gets shorter and Elmo makes a funny "whoa!" noise and laughs! When my nephew gets a little older, I'm sure he'll appreciate it, as well. He was a bit overloaded on Christmas (hence my sister opening his presents for him). Date: 2008-01-14 Great toy Bought this for my great niece who is only a few months old. So while a lot of play is not being had for it, it is a neat cuddle toy!
