Fisher Price My First Dollhouse
I wish I would bought this for my 4 years old a long time ago. My daughter loves it. We bought additional furniture at Wal-Mart. She uses all of her dolls for this dollhouse. My 6 month old will have a great dollhouse waiting for her. Easy to assemble, very durable. The educational value is that it teaches and encourages pretend play, helps stimulate her creative side.

Great dollhouse
My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday and - no exaggeration - played with it for 6 hours the first day. She has never played with one thing for so long. Her first words the next morning were "Play with dollhouse!" She has played with it every day since. Within the first week, her sentence structure was becoming more robust just from making up stories for the dolls. This is a great first dollhouse. My only complaint is that the dolls have a hard time sitting in the dining room chairs, which is frustrating for my daughter. I added rug grippers to the seats and that helps a bit. The pieces are very durable, although the paint does chip off the dolls if they're rubbed excessively on stuff, so don't let babies chew on them.

I bought the grandma, sister and baby room accessory packs, and that added just the right amount of furniture and figures.

Great First Dollhouse!
Perfect for my 18-mon old. It is very easy to put it together, only 4 pieces(balcony, front step, back yard, and roof) needed to be attached to the main house, then you are done!! Got it at the W-Mart website, very good deal. The figures are pretty cute, and they can be placed in sitting position in the chairs. Love the little toilet, great for potty training. Yes, the figures can be placed sitting upright on the toilet. So, I rotate all the little figures to potty frequently, it doesn't take long b4 my little girl started to place everyone, including the figure that represents herself on the toilet as well. Just added few extra pieces of furniture from the FP My First Dollhouse line purchased at the local toy store.

BUT--there is no working door bell. There is a doorbell yet it doesn't ring, I kinda of hope it has this feature, but it doesn't.

Fun dollhouse
We purchased this dollhouse for our daughter when she was 1 1/2yrs old and she loves it. It is great for imaginative play, however it only comes with a few household pieces and you have to purchase the rest seperately. It could initially come with a few more rooms.

Good "Starter" House
My daughter loves this house. She has had it for several months and still plays with it every day. It is, by far, her favorite toy. It's strong and sturdy, is easily moved, and it doesn't take up much space at all.

I do have a few minor problems with it though:

First of all, we bought all of the furniture accessories that go with the house, some of which was kind of cheesey to sell separately. I mean, the house doesn't come with a bed or a crib for the baby. But whatever, we knew that going in, so we shelled out for the extra furniture. However, as one other reviewer mentioned, the extra pieces don't really all fit in the house too well. That was really disappointing. If the house was just a centimeter wider, I think the extra furniture would work a lot better.

Secondly, the furniture is kind of straight and slippery, so the dolls fall off the kitchen and rocking chairs a little too easily. Not a big deal, but it can be frustrating for a two-year-old. This could probably be fixed if the seats were a little longer, or perhaps angled at something less than ninety degrees.

Finally, as this toy is marketed to younger children, I feel the need to mention that the paint comes off the dolls pretty easily. If your child still tends to put things in her mouth, as mine does, you might want to consider that when you make your purchase.
