User Submitted Fisher Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage ReviewsDate: 2008-08-14 just ok I bought this for my 16-month old daughter. Perhaps she will like it better in a few months. Toy is fine otherwise. Date: 2008-08-08 Elevator hard to use and truck is LOUD!!! I bought this for our 13 month old son. I remembered my little brother playing with this type of Fisher Price garage (25 yrs ago) and he loved it so I bought it. First complaint: The truck is really LOUD. First time my son touched it, it scared him so much, he crawled away quickly and had a frown on his face. For about 2 weeks, he was terrified of the truck but kept wanting to play with the garage. I finally put a tape over the speaker to muffle the noise (I do this with most toys now a days because they're so loud). Second complaint: Elevator sucks! It is extremely hard to move the elevator up and down, my son has a hard time pulling it up. So hard that when he puts the car in and pull the elevator up, the entire toy jolts around and the car falls out of the elevator. Third complaint: When he pushes the car down the ramp, most of the times, little people goes flying off the car (LOL). What was Fisher Price trying to teach the kids?? Forth complaint: Second floor is completely useless since the ramp isn't even connected to it. I don't understand this concept but hey, it's a toy... Even though I don't approve of this toy, my son still plays with it. I guess he is still too young to wonder why little people flies off the car, falls to their death and why the entire toy jolts around when he uses the elevator. Date: 2008-07-08 My triplets loved this! My trio loves this. Our ramp did have a defect in the ramp. The hook wouldn't stay on but hubby finally got a permanant fit to it. Date: 2008-06-30 great all-around toy My 21 month old son loves this toy. Generally, I buy a toy and it is old news within a few days. But it has been nearly a month and it is the one toy he plays with everyday. When I play with him, I try to teach him names of things, sounds, colors, etc, so it can be educational, too. I think the Little People concept is great for toddlers since it stimulates imaginatory play. Date: 2008-05-27 Fun toy, but not the best from Little People My 2 year old son is a big fan of Little People and has been for about a year now. He received this as a gift when he was about 20 months old. He really enjoys sending cars down the ramp. I was very happy to discover that the Playskool cars and trucks for babies/toddlers fit in the elevator and the ramp as well. My son also loves to send the people down in the wheelchair that came with the Little People bus! He also enjoys having the truck tow the car and also likes to "fill" the gas tank of both vehicles. My biggest complaint about it is that it's an awkward size. It's pretty large (larger than I expected), but if you set it on the floor, it's harder for them to play with the stuff on the bottom (gas pump, pull in for the station, etc.). If you put it on a table, it's harder for them to put things on the top level and send them down (and my son is in the 95th %tile for height). My other complaint is that the ramps come apart pretty frequently which is annoying (but easy enough to fix). Bottom line: I think the farm, zoo, or house provide better learning opportunities in a smaller size that is easier to store. They also have more things "to do", but if you have a child who is really into cars, this will be a hit.
