User Submitted Fisher Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-10-25 Disappointed I bought this for my son's first birthday and I am extremely disappointed. First, about a week after I ordered it, I received a Fisher Price catalog and realized I paid $11 too much for it. After assembling it, we realized there is no access to the ramp on the second floor and then my 3 year old daughter tried to use the elevator and couldn't. After the second floor it is extremely difficult to use and the bell on it is pathetic. I can't even use the elevator without launching the car and driver completely off of the toy. My son loved playing with the "air hose" before we got the ramp on but the ramp is over the top of it so now it is no longer easily accessible. I called Fisher Price about the defective elevator and my options are to send it back and wait for them to send me a $35 voucher for a new one or keep it and get a $5 voucher for another Fisher Price toy. I didn't ask if I have to pay return shipping as I wasn't happy with the idea of sending my son's birthday present back on his birthday. I have yet to contact Amazon to see what they will do. It gets 2 stars only because of my son's smile when playing with the tow truck. Date: 2008-10-16 Frustrating!!!! I found the assembly of this toy miserable, especially the ramps. There are 14 steps and you will need a Phillips screwdriver. For the price this toy should come already assembled....too much work. The very worst part about this toy though is that the elevator is extremely hard to operate. I can't imagine a one, two, or three-year-old being able to use it without help. It continually gets stuck on the way up and the way down and while you (or your child) are fighting with it the cars and little people fall out. My three-year-old found this toy so frustrating (as did I) that he gave up trying to play with it. A waste of time and money in my opinion. Mgraves Date: 2008-08-22 two year old grandson loves to play with his garage, keeps him busy Got this a a gift for my grandson's second birthday and he loves it. It keeps him very busy because cars are his favorite play thing. Date: 2008-08-14 just ok I bought this for my 16-month old daughter. Perhaps she will like it better in a few months. Toy is fine otherwise. Date: 2008-08-08 Elevator hard to use and truck is LOUD!!! I bought this for our 13 month old son. I remembered my little brother playing with this type of Fisher Price garage (25 yrs ago) and he loved it so I bought it. First complaint: The truck is really LOUD. First time my son touched it, it scared him so much, he crawled away quickly and had a frown on his face. For about 2 weeks, he was terrified of the truck but kept wanting to play with the garage. I finally put a tape over the speaker to muffle the noise (I do this with most toys now a days because they're so loud). Second complaint: Elevator sucks! It is extremely hard to move the elevator up and down, my son has a hard time pulling it up. So hard that when he puts the car in and pull the elevator up, the entire toy jolts around and the car falls out of the elevator. Third complaint: When he pushes the car down the ramp, most of the times, little people goes flying off the car (LOL). What was Fisher Price trying to teach the kids?? Forth complaint: Second floor is completely useless since the ramp isn't even connected to it. I don't understand this concept but hey, it's a toy... Even though I don't approve of this toy, my son still plays with it. I guess he is still too young to wonder why little people flies off the car, falls to their death and why the entire toy jolts around when he uses the elevator.
