We have several other GeoTrax sets but bought this one since the engines can go backwards. And my kids love that feature. This is set up in my son's room and they tend to play with it several times in a week. My daughter enjoys letting the people get out on the platform. It has been an entertaining and interactive toy. Highly recommended!!! Date: 2008-02-22 Love this toy! My 4 and 10 year old daughters love this train set. I suggest getting this set to get them started and then add to it with the extra tracks. My 10 year old now wants her own set! (I didn't think that she would like this train set too.) Make sure that you get the set with the controller. Yes it does take up a big space like the other reviews said - I bought a plastic bin to keep all of the pieces in for when I need that big space back. Great toy! Date: 2008-01-19 excellent toy This is an affordable, durable great toy for kids ages 3 and up. It was given to my 4 year old as a Birthday present and we added another series to it this Christmas. The pieces are very durable and it is good that the newer remote trains go forward and backward. Only negative is that the tracks that are given in the boxed sets are not enough. They could give a few more different types of tracks for the money spent. Overall, it is a great gift. my 4 year old son plays with it and so does his 8 year old sister. She and her friends use it with their Littlest Pet Shop animals and take them to their "summer vacations" and other pretend places! There is a Thomas the Train set right next to the Geo Trax and it is never used anymore. The kids all go right to the remote control trains on the Geotrax system. Date: 2008-01-15 Geo Trax This toy is GREAT! I have bought several sets of Geo trax and just keep adding onto the original set. Children of all ages love it and the adults have a ball setting up different track arrangements. This toy will stay out all the time and will definitely be used. Fisher Price did a great job with design. Even the 2 year old can work the train. Date: 2008-01-14 Perfect toy for a little boy! We bought the Geotrax train system for my 3-year-old son for Christmas and are thrilled with it! It is the perfect size for little hands to maneuver and he is so entertained by it every day. It's very easy to operate, too. The tracks snap together so (with Mom or Dad or older brother's help), you can change the track's design easily. I have 3 boys, so very few toys impress me any more, but this is definitely the exception. A+ for Geotrax!
