Add to the Stats
I just want to add to the statistics on this page to help inform future buyers. I'm pretty happy with this purchase but it wasn't perfect due to the skew of the dice frequencies (I think I got a particularly unlikely mix).
Not including the special set:
5 D4
11 D6 (+9 dotted D6 and 15 mini)
Only 2 D8
~40 D10
5 D12
19 D20.
I haven't found any dice that aren't usable yet. Altogether, they're pretty good but none are super cool. I'll probably pick up a couple D8s at the store to round out a couple more sets. Also, don't forget that the inherent hilarity of purchasing a full pound-o-dice will bring you extra happiness.

Probability in dice.
I'm pretty happy with what I got. It was a pleasant surprise to get a really nice looking matched set of 7 dice, separated within the bag.

My dice breakdown was pretty good, I seemed luckier than some of the other people. Including the matched set of 7, I got
D20 - 21
D12 - 8
D10 - 27
Percentile - 5
D8 - 5
D6 - 19 + 1 giant + 24 mini
D4 - 8
Total - 103 + 1 giant + 24 mini (128)

None with defects beyond messed paint jobs, so thoroughly acceptable.

Good value
This is a good value for the money. But realize what it is; it's a value product. The dice are factory seconds, and most of the ones I got were only half painted/lopsided. There was only 1 unusable die out of the whole bunch, and it was a d6. Most of the dice in here are tiny d6s (I don't like them at all), but otherwise it had an okay assortment. Ranking popularity:
d6
d10(counting both regular d10 and d% together)
d20
d8
d12
d4

For the most part, this matches their use frequency(for me), except d4 and d10 are out of place, so I don't mind too much.

My distribution
I bought one bag of dice. Considering what I got I happy with what I have. In total I have, if I paint the blank dice I got, 7 total sets. Here's how it breaks down.

7 x d4
23 x d6 (pipped and numbered)
30 x d6 (mini)
11 x d8
25 x d10
3 x d10 (blank)
4 x d%
8 x d12 (One of which is has 1-6 on one side and 7-10,0,* on the other)
18 x d20
--------
129 Total Dice

This is an excellent addition to my dice collection and I am thinking about getting another bag just too see if I find some more weird dice.

The pound of dice is very useful, except for the tiny little dice...what good are they?
The pound of dice are very useful and inexpensive, all except for the tiny little dice in the bag. What good are they?
