Two boys' review: Fun Doc Ock action figure for little kids
The WB released a new, more kid-friendly Spider-Man cartoon, titled, "The Spectacular Spider-Man." The Doc Octopus action figure comes with a detachable backpack that carries his mechanical arms. You just squeeze his legs and the tentacles snap. The figure is nicely detailed and highly posable. I like this version better than the Spider-Man 2 action figure.

We've had our action figures for a couple months now and they are holding up against constant play by our 5-year old and 4-year old. I'm really impressed with the vivid colors and the multiple points of articulation.

We own Spiderman Animated Action Figure - Spider-Man, Spiderman Animated Action Figure Black-Suited Spiderman, Spiderman Animated Action Figure - Doc Octopus and Spiderman Animated Action Figure - Venom.

Hopefully, Hasbro will release some more characters from the series now that the first season is on TV.

Eek! It's Doc Ock!
My kid got into reading "Spider-Man" books with me, and we got an action figure to enhance our fun... So of course, we had to get a Doc Ock doll, too, and this one is pretty cool. Based on the Spidey animated series, it's got a cartoonish look that makes it more friendly and way less creepy than the more realistic Ock's out there. It seems pretty durable and - wow! - if you squeeze his legs, the pincers on his octopus arms open and close! Not bad.
