User Submitted Spin Master PixOs Super Studio ReviewsDate: 2008-11-21 Fun, but beads don't stick together very well.... According to my eight and six year old daughters, the PixOs Super Studio is fun, but there are some problems that they had with it. First of all, they had trouble getting the beads to stick together. Spray too little and the creations fall apart. Spray too much and it takes forever to dry. Also note that if you spray too much water, the PixOs will bloat slightly, which makes it difficult to align back in the tray if you want to make modifications to it. One big complaint they had was that the set came with way too few beads, so expect to buy refills. Personally, I was a little disappointed with this set, so I also bought a Manley Art-Tastic Magic Bead Set Manley Art-tastic Magic Beads Deluxe Playset - 1200 Beads, which, according to them, was a much better set because the beads stuck together better, and were the exact same size as the PixOs. Also, the Art-tastic Magic Beads have a few more patterns and come with more beads. But best of all, the Art-tastic refills are cheaper than PixOs. You can consider buying either one while using the Art-tastic Magic Bead refills. Date: 2008-11-19 Not so good! My kids are drawn to this toy. The bottom line is that there are many faults. The beads get stuck in the dispenser, some have extra seem of plastic and can't get through. The fan did not dry the beads and dissapointed my 10 yo. I would not recommend this product, it is a waste of money, I wish my kids weren't so interested in it! Date: 2008-11-18 piece of poop I did not wanna buy this toy but my son begged me and spent his birthday money on it. My son took it out of the box and tried to get the wrapping off of it. He had a hard time and the tube broke. Now we can never get the balls to come out of the tube. We must use our fingers to put pictures together. The pixos take too long to dry and they dont stay stuck together. They break apart easily. If anyone bumps the table the pixos fall apart and your picture is gone. I knew that I didnt wanna buy this toy. If it wasnt for my son wanting it, I would have stayed away. Maybe you should try to convince your kid to stay away so you dont make the mistake as I have as a parent. This product should have cost [...]. It is so cheapily made. Date: 2008-11-14 Works great but remember two things The pixos just like the aquadots work great but there are two points that make it work alot better. First the toy has a broad age range but some kids younger then 8 might get easily frustrated as these beads are tiny and the pens work but have a technique that must be learned. Second I find you really need to saturate the product and let it dry for a couple days. We use alot more water then the directions say and dry it much longer also but this give the beads a chance to melt and rebind much better then just a couple skirts of water will do. Date: 2008-11-09 Keeps my daughter busy for hours... I purchased this product for my 6 year old daughter and she loves it. I spent the first hour with her guiding and helping her set and design, a little frustrating to start; however, after a few tries she didn't need my help. In fact, my daughter and friends have spent enjoyable hours using PixOS so much so that i had to go back to the store to buy additional beads. I wish there was more beads included in the package !!
