User Submitted Battleship Reviews (cont...)Date: 2005-08-01 You Sunk My Batteleship! Battleship is a classic game of search and destroy. Players take turns seeking out the placement of another player's 5 ships hidden from their sight. The first player to sink their opponent's armada gains the victory. Battleship plays in about 30 minutes. Even though there is a large random aspect to Battleship, the game is tremendously fun to play. The fun for most is trying to "hide" your ships, or place your ships in a unique way as to baffle your opponent. There are some nights where a good, intense strategy game is more fun to play, and there are some nights where you want a fun, yet less intense battle. Battleship is for these gaming nights. While some consider battleship "too random", I find myself still enjoying the game after 30 years. Great for all ages. My 6 year old loves to play. Date: 2005-07-24 Battle Bummer I don't like this. It's just finding other people's ships. I mean, it's just like the game of memory!!! That game stinks. I don't like this. (Sorry if you like this game a lot) Date: 2005-06-26 I lost the book...what can i do? i love this game and have had it for over 5 years, but over the years we have lost the game book that goes with it. now, hopefully you understand that i'm not interested in rebuying the game, so is there anyway i can get the book online or play without it? please let me know asap! thank you! Date: 2005-04-02 A great little logic test. This game is a classic and it really gets kids thinking about plotting the possibles and probables. They don't even realise it's educational as it's such fun. The design makes it a perfect travel game. A great one to get out when the chorus of "are we there yet?", is driving you crazy and playing "eye spy" is making everyone loose the will to live rapidly! I even get away with playing my knid of music without the children moaning or noticing! Date: 2005-03-15 Lots of fun... This game is pretty fun, you don't have to think too much and the instructions are easy enough as well. I do agree with the one reviewer who saaid that the pegs can be horrible if scattered everywhere. What we do is keep them in seperate plastic bags, and unwrap them before the game starts. It's a little bit more time-consuming, but that way it keeps them from winding up in a kid or pet's mouth.
