User Submitted Pretend and Play Calculator Cash Register Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-03-19 Not too noisy fun I bought this for my child almost a month ago and he is still playing with it! That says a lot for my kids. The slight beeping noise when the buttons are pressed is not too noisy or irritating. My son is learning about money and its value. The only thing that I don't like is that if you open the cash register when the play coins are in it, it sounds like glass breaking. However, once I got used to the sound, it isn't so bad. All in all, this product has been great for our family. Date: 2007-02-09 Finally! A Great Toy that Actually Teaches Something! I have a granddaughter and a niece, both about four years of age. I have been appalled at the tacky toys in stores that do nothing at all. Too much money for useless sequins and glitz seems to be the standard order of the day. I bought each of these girls a Pretend and Play Calculator Cash Register, based on some of the other reviews. I love that this toy teaches valuable life skills, and that as both girls get older, they will have a deeper understanding of how money works, and how using a credit card isn't magic money, but just a means to pay for something a little later. Natalie and Lily loved the Cash Register immediately and their parents are thrilled with it also. Great for interaction with the child--Sure beats letting the child stare at the TV for hours on end! This is a GREAT gift---One that can be used for several years. As they grow older, they will better understand the concepts of counting back change, etc. A terrific learning experience which allows for quality interaction with the child. This Calculator Cash Register was a Christmas gift for my 3 and 4 year old grandchildren. Turned out to be one of their favorite gifts, and they play with it, together, much of their playing time! Lots of room for creativity with the money -- counting, calculating, just playing and learning in general! A great gift! Date: 2007-01-11 Aunt The calculator I ordered on 11/7/06 was delivered to the wrong address and never returned so I had to order another one in December. I was never credited for the first one. My niece did receive the second one and told me she loved it.
