We got this for our son (5)for Christmas, and he loves to play store, kitchen, and restaurant with it. It teaches the value of money, counting, and credit. The only issue I have with it, is there is no particular place for the credit card to be stored. "It can't go with the real money mom, it is a credit card." Other than that, great toy!!! Would reccommend it to all. Date: 2007-01-10 Pretend and Play Calculator Cash Register This cash register is wonderful. My 5 year old daughter received it for Christmas and she loves it. The money is as close to looking real as can be. The coins are actual size which makes it easy for me to teach my daughter the differences in each coin. I wish we had gotten this toy earlier. Of course he's found other unique uses for it but seeing him "check-out" his groceries with all the sounds and courtesies is a pleasure. This toy cash register is sturdy and provides a fun educational opportunity to teach children not only the value of money but also the importance of paying for the things we would like to purchase rather than "taking" them from the store. An excellent purchase for children of an appropriate age. Date: 2007-01-04 Encourages Math Skills and Sharing in a Fun Way For Christmas 2006, we bought this cash register for our four-year old and a more basic Parents model for our two-year old. Both only want to play with this one. It fosters many wonderful skills, in a fun way. Our children, particularly the four-year old, have learned basic money counting, math symbols, basic calculator skills, etc. without any workbooks or drills! It always encourages sharing because one child can be the purchaser and the other, the seller. The product itself is sturdy and the buttons are oversized for little fingers. I would highly recommend this product to other parents! Date: 2006-03-03 GREAT Learning Tool!! I got this for my daughter for her seventh birthday. Not only does she love it, my three year old twins love it as well. It involves them in a lot of pretend play and also is a fabulous teaching tool for all of them. I love the quality of this item and would highly recommend it! It came at just the right time when my oldest is learning about money in her first grade class. You won't be disapointed with this purchase!
