The wheel assembly does not work
Yesterday was one of my children's third birthday, and my wife and I gave one of these fantastic cars to our child. Even unassembled, we could not bring our kid back to the party. He stayed there pretending he was driving, even without tires!!!

However, today during the assembly, with my kids all over me and trying to release the car, I faced the problem when installing the driving wheel. It has a plastic piece that is supposed to keep the wheel on the dash, but it does not. I am planning on buying a bolt and nut to keep it in place and forget about thIe whole thing, but I just wanted to share this. My kid obviously is happy with the car, but he has to be replacing the wheel everytime he gets excited and pulls it out.

I tried to contact littletikes via their web page, but there is not an option for defective design. They definitely need to revise this assembly and provide a better way to keep the wheel where it belongs.

Fantastic!
I bought the Cozy Coupe when my first child was just about 18 months old. He loved the satisfaction of opening the door, climbing in and closing the door behind him. At that time, he'd just sit in the car and pretend to drive (his feet were too short to reach the ground) and of course, loved being pushed around! This quickly became his favorite toy and as he grew older and was able to "drive" on his own, it was almost impossible to get him out of it.

Now my second child is old enough to start opening the door and is desperate to drive around on her own too. That this toy survived the use and abuse my son gave it and is now moving on to my second child is pretty amazing. That ranks the Cozy Coupe five stars for durability. Not only is it durable, but the colors are still vibrant and it is in really good shape. I can actually see this car being passed on to several other children before it's time is expired!

This is definitely a great value and will provide many many hours of enjoyment for any child who owns it.

Worth every cent--just have the store assemble it
I'll start by saying this ties with the Exersaucer as far as best money spent on a toy for my 20 month old daughter so far, and she's only had it for one week. In that time, I don't think she has played with anything else. If she wants to play with another toy, she carries it to the car and climbs inside! I can't overstate how much she has enjoyed this car. She would hardly even let me put it together because she was so excited, I even had to wait til she went to bed to put the top on because she wouldn't climb out.
Which brings me to the assembly. I thought I must be either losing my mind or my strength after spending two hours on this. Then I read some of the reviews here which mentioned some of the same problems. I would definitely recommend (as others have) using WD-40 when attaching the hood pieces to the body as well as cutting off some of the red plastic with a box cutter/utility knife if the pieces don't go together well. The little Tikes Customer service agent said it was a "tight fit" and she wasn't kidding. My only warning is to cut only very small pieces of the red plastic body off at a time and keep trying the hood after each cut. I removed too much and now the door will pop off occasionally, but my daughter doesn't seem to mind.
Once it is assembled, though, you couldn't ask for a better toy!!!

A must have
This is a favorite of our 2 year old daughter and a must have for every little one. The only down side, the steering wheel assembly. The directions are easy to follow, but the company should come up with a better way to keep the wheel in place because the plastic spring they have now is hard to install and keep in place...if done incorrectly the wheel will pop out. Other wise, worth every penny!
