User Submitted Little Tikes EasyScore Basketball Set Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-03-05 Get some sand I bought this for my 3-year-old daughter to share with our 14-month-old son. It's a great little set-up, and they both enjoy it very much, but there are a few things worth mentioning that aren't readily apparent. First, the base of the unit needs to have sand poured into it to give it weight and keep the unit stable. The hole to pour in the sand is about the size of a half dollar. The instructions (written on side of the box -- no separate instructions are included with the unit) suggest using a funnel. This does not work terribly well, however, and you will spend far more time pouring sand in manually than putting the actual unit itself together. Second, the latch that adjusts the height of the rim and backboard is flimsy. It has two circular plastic tabs that nominally keep it in place on the pole after one flips the latch down. However, the circular tabs can easily become dislodged, resulting in the rim and backboard sliding down to the lowest position. Lastly, when the ball drops through the net, it ricochets rapidly off the base. If your toddler is making shots from 5-10 feet away directly in front of the net (not too likely), this would seem to be a kind of ball return, but otherwise it inevitably results in having to chase the ball down. All things considered, however, it is a fun toy your toddler will almost certainly enjoy. Date: 2007-02-25 Paris loves her new basketball set My six year old Paris loves her new basketball set. We play basketball in our New York apartment and it is alot of fun. I am so happy. Paris can stand far back and shoot it right in. Paris can live with her basketball set forever. My daughter loves playing with it by herself, and its great for when dad gets home and gets to shoot baskets with her:) Date: 2007-02-05 Nice warm up for sports I bought this set for my 1 year old son. He is tall enough to dunk it at the lowest height. He really likes to go and dunk the ball. I am trying to get gim interested into sports at his early age and this set is up to the task. The set also grows up with your kid, he can play with it for couple of years. I highly recommend it to anyone. Date: 2007-01-16 Great Basketball Set! We're very happy with the basketball set - our son loves it. We use it inside and out.
