User Submitted Play N Ride Train Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-11-12 Fantastic simple ride-on My wife and I purchased this and we are very pleased. Its simple and fun and doesn't need batteries which is nice considering everything else seems to need them. Its the perfect size for our 17 month old son and he loves riding around on it. If you are looking for a simple, inexpensive ride-on toy for scooting around the house, this is perfect. Date: 2007-11-11 A very adorable riding toy I bought this riding train for my grandson who just turned one. He loves to play with it, but does not know how to sit on it and ride it quite yet. However, I am disappointed because the back part of the train does come out too easily. If you try to pick it up by the handle, it just falls out. Otherwise, it is a very colorful toy and does not require any batteries which is always a pleasure when dealing with little ones' toys. Date: 2007-10-12 My kids favorite I kept telling my wife that we had to leave a review for this. We don't normally leave reviews but... our kids absolutely LOVE this train. As I type this, my 2.5 year old son is scooting around the kitchen island on this train. When he stops long enough, his 9 month old sister takes over by climbing all over it. She likes to turn the dial, push the buttons etc. Our son is a bit jealous at times but is finally learning to share it. He loves to store his matchbox cars in the seat container. It makes a nice central spot for his favorite toys in life. This train is well build and the only sturdiness issues we had were the result of our son "testing its limits" intentionally. Nothing major but a tip to the side and a quick recovery. He has since learned not to do that. We've had this train for 10 months now and my son loves it more than ever. I would buy anoher one in a heartbeat if this one disappeared. Date: 2007-10-12 good ride My 2.5 year old loves this toy. She rides it all over the basement and driveway and is able to steer it. I bought it for the 1 year old who does enjoy opening up the seat storage and stashing things inside, climbing on and off the seat and playing with the various levers and buttons that make a variety of fun noises. I am sure she will really like it more as soon as she is able to push better with her feet to move it along. My older child has even given her little sister a ride. If you have slim kids, there is enough room for them to both sit on the seat. The seat back support is removeable; it just slides into place with no screws to secure it. This is a little frustrating for the kids, who try to pick up the train by the back support and then it comes off in their hands, leaving them unable to replace it in the "slots". That is a minor issue, however. Date: 2007-07-17 Teach 'em to walk I'd like to start my review by spreading the word I read here - If you tape some small weights inside the seat of this toy it will make it much sturdier. I put 20lbs of dumbbells in there when my daughter was first learning how to pull up so it wouldn't fall over on her. This toy was the catalyst that propelled my 11-month old baby to be an 11-month old toddler. She learned to walk by pushing on this toy. The first time she pulled herself up with this toy and walked unassisted my knees were like jello, as if it was me learning to walk for the first time! My daughters older cousins come over and play with this toy too. It's a very good value.
