User Submitted 80" x 27" Jump-o-Lene Reviews (cont...)Date: 2004-11-17 Jumpolene too big for inside My daughter received this for Christmas when she was 3. Although she did love it and play w/ it for awhile, there really isn't as much bounce in it as a bouncy house would have. Also it is very large. It took up our entire living room. Then we moved it into her room and it overtook her room. It didn't seem sturdy enough to leave outside. Eventually it became a big toy collection area. I would say if you had a very large playroom then it would work well because of it's size. It's just too much. Date: 2004-11-14 Terrific indoor toy for preschooler We bought this toy for my 2.5 yr old about a month ago. He has sensory integration dysfunction and the jumping helps him to get the vestibular input he needs (rather than jumping on the couch, bed, etc). He has uses it nearly every day so the we have already gotten our (...) worth. There are some parents who complain about leaking - we've not had that problem at all. Now, keep in mind that my son is only 26lbs and he is the only one jumping in it. That could be a factor. Also, it says it could be used for outdoor purposes but I don't think it's sturdy enough for that. The 'inner rim' that kids can sit on - I think this is a misleading statement by the manufacturer. My son is small for his age and his tiny butt can't fit on the rim! I have bought other Intex products (pools) and this one has been the sturdiest so far. I've only re-inflated it once since we bought it. Also - for those of you thinking of adding plastic balls to make it a ball pit: this can be expensive. We already had 400 balls and when we put them in the jump-o-lene, it scarcly covered the bottom. I had my in-laws bring over their 200 balls and that helped to cover the bottom, but it didn't create the depth that you will find in ball pits at ChuckECheese's. So, if you want to use it as a ball pit (we are) you'll need 800-1,000 balls. That sounds like a lot, but we have 600 balls in there and it sure doesn't look like it! Overall, terrific product and well worth the money! Date: 2004-10-06 Great for younger kids I purchased this for my daughter last Christmas. (20 months) She had a blast. She and her cousin (4 years) would bounce around, flip, and pillow fight in it. It was also comfortable for an adult to lie in while watching TV. It lasted for almost a year until my older kids (16 and 18 years old) decided to get in and pop it by bouncing around. Replaced it immediately. It is easy to move around, easy to blow up, and works great inside and out. Date: 2004-09-24 DEFINETLY NOT AN OUTDOOR ITEM!!! We bought this jump-o-lene about a year ago for my 4 year old son. It was great for awhile until there were 2 and sometimes 3 little ones inside (none above 4 years old). It got 2 holes in it right away and trying to find them was impossible. Soooo... being we were moving soon, I threw it out and purchased a new one for the new house. (I know... a lot of money to throw out the window). When we moved to our new house, we made the HUGE mistake of putting it outside and, eventhough I made certain only 2 little ones were in it at the same time, it still got a hole in it. This time, we patched it, though. Then a few days later, it rained and it was all over. It filled with water (probably through the covered hole, somehow) and we couldn't get the water out, so we had to throw that one out as well. (...) My recommendation - it's a fun toy as long as you keep in inside and make sure only 2 small children are in it at once. Maybe then you'll have a fair chance of keeping it longer than 2 weeks! I wouldn't purchase it again, though. Date: 2004-09-04 Bugs enjoyed it more than kids I bought this thinking it was a great alternative to a regular trampoline. I kept it outside, covered, but that didn't stop bugs from making homes in it everyday. They would go in the crevice between the floor and sides. It didn't matter much because my daughter didn't enjoy it at all, there was hardly any bounce to it no matter how much or how little air I put in it. It went in the garbage.
