I'm 30 years old and couldn't tell is the small b was a d or p or even a q etc... The W could be an M or E. Too confusing. I wish they had done some pattern or something on the letters to tell them apart. Also, with a big puzzle like this, it should of been magnatized! It's hard to pick up so many puzzles each time my 3 yr old feels like dumping them over! UGGG Date: 2008-01-12 Fun, educational puzzle Like the other M&D toys we have, this puzzle is very well-made. The size of the pieces are easy for my 2 yr old to handle. Prior to getting this for Xmas a few weeks ago, she already knew most of her UC letters, and already has learned 50-75% of the LC ones through playing with this puzzle. My only recommendation for improvement would be to reconstruct a couple of the lower case letters, such as "i" so you can easily see the dot above the short line, and to put a "tail" on the "q." Overall, a terrific toy and one I would purchase again. Date: 2007-12-30 excellent for visual learners Excellent for teaching children lower and upper case letters. My daughter has Autism and learned her upper and lower case letter pretty fast by using this product. Date: 2007-09-24 Shows wear, letters only fit in the correct spot This puzzle could be made more durable. The letters are already showing wear around the edges. Also, the lower case letters aren't made great for learning. In my opinion, the lower case "p" and "d" should fit in both spots...as well as, lower case "u" and "n"...this has been frustrating for my boy and for me. It's still a great product! Date: 2007-06-27 Very good puzzle I bought this puzzle for my daughter when she was about 2.5 year old. It helped her to learn her alphabet. I like the fact there are both upper and lower case letters. The quality is very good, like all the other Melissa & Doug products we purchased.
