The foam outside quiets the spring noise. Also the spring is internal so fingers will not get pinched. This item is for up to 80 lbs. My child is near that so I am looking for one for higher weights. If I can get one from the same company, I will. Date: 2008-09-10 Well Made Using any pogo stick takes some practice. After buying this one for our daughter, other parents in the neighborhood keep asking where we got it because it is so much better made than those they have purchased. We highly recommend it for hours of fun. Date: 2008-08-13 Great product for active children I bought the mid size pogo stick for my son's 6th birthday and ever since he received it, he has not stopped bouncing all over the place. It is very durable and sturdy enough for him to do his crazy tricks. Date: 2008-07-25 8 year old LOVES IT! Be careful when you purchase the pogo stick and BE SURE to get the right weight for the stick....we didn't and it took a month to correct with AMAZON. The stick itself works wonderful, it got a little banged up but he still uses it and loves it 2 months later. There are more expensive options out there but this seems to suit her just fine.
