User Submitted Crocodile Dentist Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-09-01 It's great when it works I specifically bought this toy because it was self contained with no parts to loose. It was to be taken on a trip to visit with my 5 year old grandson. What fun! We laughed and pushed the teeth down while taking turns. Well, after less than a day the only tooth that would cause the jaws to snap was the center tooth. Not too much fun there. I feel I wasted my money. Date: 2008-08-11 broken in days I bought this for my 3 yr old and at first, he thought it was the best game ever and laughed when the croc would chomp down on his fingers. Then, the top part of the mouth kept falling off and I had to keep putting it back on until it just completely broke and wasn't able to play it again. I think it lasted at tops for a full week in our house and that was it. So, definintely doesn't hold up well at all! Date: 2008-07-30 The Surprise Hit at Christmas We bought this for my 3 year old son as a Christmas gift. Truthfully, it was more of an afterthought - almost like a stocking stuffer. We started playing it with him and we quickly found out how much fun it is. First off, there are no batteries needed and no loose pieces to get lost. We LOVE this! However the biggest reason we like it is that ANYONE can win this game, even my 3 year old son. Most, if not all, of the games we own require some sort of skill to play and win. Winning Crocodile Dentist is based on luck - all Joe has to do is push down on a tooth. So he has just as good of a chance of winning as does his big brother, mom, or dad. I HIGHLY recommend it for young ones - in particular if they have older siblings who seem to always 'win' at everything they do. I promise it will quickly become one of their favorites! Date: 2008-07-12 I love this toy! I am a Speech Therapist and this is a toy that the children with whom I work (3,4, and 5 year olds) ask for over and over again. They just love it! I have the small travel one which is perfect since I travel all around for my job. If the child is too afraid to push the teeth down I give him/her a tongue depressor or my pencil so the crocodile bites that instead of the child. Date: 2008-07-03 Not what I remember... I bought this toy for my son because I remember playing with one as a child. It is a new company that makes them now, no longer Hasbro. The crocodile is a lot of fun but the head pops off very easily. After a few rounds of play, the head would not open all the way. I contacted the company since my time to return it to Amazon had expired and I received a new one in the mail a few weeks later without returning the broken one. I would recommend this toy to older, calmer children. (Although I'm not sure if 6+ would find it entertaining.)
