User Submitted Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-04-21 Nice, but front wheels blow chunks This is a really nice wagon except for the fact that the front wheels caster and are not connected to the handle like most other wagons. What this means is that steering and maneuvering--especially in tight spaces like the garage--is REALLY, REALLY difficult. Supposedly the free castering front wheels are a safety feature to prevent inadvertant tip-overs when making tight turns on steep terrain. But it is one of those safety features which really reduces the utility of the wagon and takes much of the pleasure out of pulling it. Chances are that your kids won't notice anything at all (at least not the little ones), but you most certainly will notice how clumsy this thing moves. My advice: Get a wagon where the wheels are steered by moving the handle. That'd be the same basic type that was around when you were a kid. Date: 2008-04-18 Grandson and Mom love it! Just what they wanted! It was good for grandma too (easy to put together). It has plenty of room for just about anything you want to put into it. Plenty of foot room. This wagon pulls easy and does not seem to want to tip easily. I'm sure they will get plenty of out door time with it. Very happy, Grandma Ginia Date: 2008-04-07 Great wagon, but needs better steering We love this wagon bought for our small children, I love the seat belts and space for trips to the store or the park. The only thing we do not like is the steering. The handle is not a swivel handle, it does not actually steer or turn, but small amounts of weight applied in either direction make the wheels turn. So if you want to make a sharp turn, watch out for tip-overs. Also when trying to steer straight, it weeves back and forth behind you, not ever actually going straight. My husband hates it, I dont mind it as much, as I like it for the seat arrangements the most. But mechanical guys will not like how it's made. Date: 2008-04-05 Great Wagon Wagon is excellent. Wheels sometimes don't want to turn the way I am going, takes a little bit to get the wheels faced straight. I absolutely love this wagon and so do the babies. Date: 2008-03-31 Great Wagon! We have twin two year olds and they really love this wagon! It is very sturdy and well constructed. One word of caution - make certain that you have all the washers in correct place before putting on the red caps that hold everything together. I found out the hard way that the caps are not removable once they are in place. Luckily, you can request replacements from the Radio Flyer website free of charge. We also purchased the wagon canopy although we have not had the need to use it yet. I'm sure it will be very useful once the hot weather arrives.
