User Submitted Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-05-10 Nancy Drew Deception Island I'm a Grandma to 6 and we do the Nancy Drew games together. Most of the time the kids are better then me at them. So far I have them all and this is one of the better ones we've played. I play it alone too. It's a game for all ages! Date: 2008-05-02 Fun for mother and daughter I'm a member of a game site online, and had been very interested in trying out one of the Nancy Drew games. My 6 yr old daughter was sitting with me when I checked out the reviews, and she said we should download this one. As this was my first time playing any such game, I played the Junior Detective version. It was fun! It was not as difficult as I thought it would be, although some parts did have me stumped- I had to do a search online for hints/tips to help me out. LOL I like that if you mess up (as in, get fired or killed), you can get a second chance and don't have to start over from the beginning. I love the graphics, and the plot wasn't too involved or scary (for me or for my 6 yr old). I played through once by myself, and then my daughter and I played through together. She really enjoyed it, and it certainly has me wanting to buy more games! Date: 2008-04-29 One of Her-Interactive's best! I LOVE this game! The plot is intriguing, the gameplay submersive and interesting, the characters are unique, the music is great, and the setting is wonderful as well! :) (And just so you know, I AM a critiquer, so I would tell you if I disliked something ;)) I also love the history about the Maya thrown in there--GREAT game! I would highly recommend this, I believe it is one of Her-Interactive's best! :) ~Laura Date: 2008-04-05 Very pleased I was very happy to have gotten this game in the excellent condition i recieved it in, totally enjoyed the game and the prompt delivery of this product..thanks so very much Date: 2008-03-16 ok, but too easy this is my first Nancy Drew game. i was hoping for a challenge, but was disappointed. the gameplay is very linear: Nancy has only one task after the other- no multiple assignments, and you'd precisely what to do next- there was barely any thinking involved. the work is in going from one location to another, like a robot. and you have to wear that stupid helmet every time you get on the bike. not to mention it's really hard to navigate while on the kayak. zzzzzzzzzzzz... i got through Senior Detective within a few hours without hints. the graphics were good tho. this is still a fun game, but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone over the age of 12.
