Grades K and up. Europe's 2003 game of the year! Develops logic and spacial perception while kids learn to be tactical. Players take turns placing pieces on their board, each starting from their corner. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners! The goal is to get rid of all your pieces. The game ends when all players are blocked from laying down any more of their pieces. Includes one gameboard with 400 squares, 84 game pieces in four bright translucent colors, and an instruction guide. User Submitted Blokus Classic ReviewsDate: 2008-10-07 fun for kids and adults alike I got this game to play with my kids. I'm always looking for games that can be fun, and challenging for kids and adults. This one is pretty fast, and can be played by younger kids too. My youngest is 7, and he also enjoys it. It can be played with only two players, but it isn't as challenging. My kids like it and I LOVE it. I am always looking for someone to play the game with. This is much better than typical board games for kids. Date: 2008-10-03 Fun Strategic Competion Blokus is a wonderful thought provoking game about learning space relationships enjoyed by our family and guests. It doesn't take long to play, so you can have a conversation while having the challenge. Date: 2008-09-30 very good for whole family the toy is full of fun, very good for the whole family to play.even adult could find it interesting and attractive to play. Date: 2008-09-30 We love it! I purchased this game for one of my grandchildren for Christmas last year after reading the good reviews about it. She brought it up to our cabin on our vacation this summer and I also got a chance to play it. It was really fun! Since then I purchased one for my husband and I to have here, and I also got one for two more grandchildren. It is really fun for adults, but children have fun with it too. I would say kids under 8 need a little help to find where to put the pieces sometimes, but it is a great learning toy for them. It teaches some good thinking skills, and they can play it with their "own rules" with each other and have lots of fun too! If there are less than 4 people playing we play with two colors each, or in the case of three players we take turns playing the 4th color because you really need all the colors in play to make it work well. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone! Make sure you emphasize keeping good track of all the pieces so none get lost! Date: 2008-09-30 good game Easy yet fun to play.Only 4 people can play at the time. We are a family of 4 and it's perfect!
